Yup, his Pepsi tattoo and Cobra tattoo cannot be put on his figures because of copyright issues with both companies. BTW, welcome to WFIGs, my fellow Hazletonian!! Thanks for the welcome. I was kind of thinking that that was the reason for the tattoo not being there. I know that some wrestlers that have beer logo tattoos or at least I think they do. Anyway you can't put a beer logo on a kids toy. I know for a fact because I Sometimes collect NASCAR diecast. If the car is being sold where kids toys are sold, they censor the beer name by replacing it with the name of the driver in the beer logo font or team name. I think they've changed that rule about beer logos because about 10 years ago I noticed Winners Circle releasing cars of Sterling Marlin (with his car saying Coors Light), Dale Jr (Car saying Bud) and Rusty Wallace (Miller Lite) at Walmart and Target. I thought it was an odd find cause like you, I grew up where you couldnt put that on a car. I once got a Miller Genuine Draft Rusty Wallace car in a set out of a Sears Christmas catalog as it was considered an "adult collector item".

No, they don´t. He´s bullpoopting. Yeah, they do...I have one and it's not on ther... Yeah pictures of him on the cover of anything are censored but not within the product. Its because you cant sell a product with a copyrighted logo on it but if its within the contents of the product its okay. So I wonder if a CM Punk where his tats are covered in the package would be ok?

I reckon they should have kept the tats there and revised them a bit to stray away from copyright issues.

I've wondered if the price to use the logo would be significantly cheaper now that the official pepsi logo is different, also on the basic figures wouldn't it be possible to do a black and white ying yang, surely pepsi don't own that.

This thread belongs in the topic cemetery with 'why can't Mattel make an Owen figure' or 'will we ever get a Benoit figure?' Lock, delete, and never speak of this again.

They actually photoshop his promos? That's just odd. No, they don´t. He´s bullpoopting. Here's a few on Ringside where they have photoshopped both tattoos: www.ringsidecollectibles.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=R&Category_Code=PHOTO-CMPUNKI actually prefer that they don't add any space-filler sort of tattoos on Punk's figures as Mattel are trying to make their figures as accurate as possible, and if WWE don't like to promote Punk's cobra and pepsi tattoos, then i believe Mattel shouldn't either. However, i don't see the big deal as it's nothing toothpicks and paint won't solve. Rated [R] NinJa

I have a Promo Cup from about 7-8 months ago, and the Cobra tattoo on Punks arm was Photo shopped, but not removed. They just changed it to what looks like an upside down Devil Horn.

I like how his Bouncing Souls band logo tattoo is on all his figures. I don't know if its that the logo wasn't copyrighted or it was never thought twice about, but they've been using that logo since the 90s
