Just a general question. After watching numerous seasons of Jersey Shore, I started to try tanning in beds. Being that my family is from Canada, and having european descent, I am pale. In the summer i usually burn, never tan. But when I tan in beds, its different. I dunno, Discuss if interested.

I have never tried any artificial tanning solutions, nor do I ever want to.
When I am in the sun, maybe 1 out of every 25 times I will tan, I usually burn, and bad.

I always burn rather than tan when I tried laying under the sun. Haven't tried tanning beds but I don't really care whether I'm pale or not...

I seem to tan easy, but I have a weird splotch on my stomach that doesnt tan.

I tend to tan in the sun whenever I'm out and it's a hot day. I don't necessarily lie down in front of the sun, it just normally gets me when I'm out.

I tan pretty easily naturally since I'm half Italian. In the Winter though, I'll sometimes use moisturizers or whatever too to give me a bit of colour. Mainly because I have darker facial features (I look WAY more Italian than English) so it suits me more than the ghostly pale look that British weather provides. I'd never use tanning beds though. A) Because of the strong link to skin cancer and B) For fear of ending up looking like this:  *Shudder* |

If I sit out in the sun for more than 10 minutes I get horrible sunburn. And I refuse to tan artificially because I'm not a douche (stereotype, yes).

I used to tan when I was in high school, because it was right next door to my karate dojo and was a great way to unwind after karate

I voted don't tan at all because when I think of tanning I think of people actually sitting outside with their backs or whatever to the sun.
And I don't do that.
The only time that would happen would be if I'm at the beach or swimming and I need to get dry.
I am not pale though I guess I get enough sun without having to sit still for an hour a day...

Never get tan...i just go from pale-ish to lobster back to pale-ish....lol

When i was in high school i would get sun burned all the time from being outside during football practice. The worst part was when the back of my legs would get burned and i would have to bend into a 3 point stance.

Recently the sun's been out where I live in the UK, which is wierd for this time of the year. I usually get tanned during the summer, but these last few weeks have been great. I ain't naturally pale, I have a little italian in me, so I tan easily. I usually just get tanned by walking to the gym out in the sun. I'd never use sunbeds no way GTL baby!! (not so much laundry though) |

in the summer, when I'm at my folks' house they have a backyard pool for my youngest brother. I'll float on the raft and tan that way, or shoot hoops (they have an inground hoop that was for the 2nd youngest brother, but he's going to college now... god I feel old).
I'll tan in the sun then. But I don't tan very well, despite being italian..

i go running without a shirt and I go swimming outside, so I get tan that way. I don't lay out with the sole purpose of tanning.
