i figured, although it may rarely be used, it wouldn't hurt for this board to have a thread of this form. i also thought people could perhaps list games they're looking for or games they're willing to trade almost like how it's done over at mobygames.com i'll start it off by saying i bought two games off ebay for the ps1 in the last while, the first being: cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350276916256&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1159wt_886 urban chaos. a fun game in which you play a female cop protagonist trying to help obtain order in a city run amok with gangs. annnnd today i found: cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370453476457&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_2832wt_886 fighting force 2! i've just recently finished the first, so i wanted to continue the fun. next i'm looking at getting army men 3D for the ps1, or perhaps army men world war. ebay prices and the canadian dollar are in the good right now. what've you guys picked up recently, or are planning to?

Recently hooked up my Super Nintendo and wanted some new games so I won X-Men Mutant Apocalypse and the original Power Ranger game for like $20 shipped [separate auctions].
Games are pretty cool I just need to get better.

^ Dude... I had that X-Men game for a while... played the crap out of it and never got better... very, very hard.
The other day I picked up Sega Rally 2 on Dreamcast for three bucks. It was fun for a little bit, but I kept losing at the 3rd stage in the season mode. Darn game over music has gotten to me...

^ nice grab, where'd you find it for the three bucks?
anyways, i'm on the hunt for a few new things. i think the quest side of me is coming out:
shadow of the beast shadow of the beast 2
after seeing shadow of the beast 2 on youtube i was blown away that there was an epic quest sidescroller for genesis i hadn't played yet...always surprises me how much there is still to learn about vintage vijees. gonna order the first from ebay.
annnnnd on the arcade side of things, i've fallen in love with the series 'crime fighters'. only released on arcade systems, but luckily for us in the digital age roms are easy as ever to grab. i intend to play the japanese version of both games to experience them as they were made.
i guess crime fighters 2 was quite controversial as there is a homosexual boss in the japanese version that kills you by dry humping you on the ground once you're down. needless to say, this did not make the international cut.
you guys ever play any of these?

Some dude's backyard Pretty great price for a game that I knew was a decent racer but never went out of my way to obtain. Also one of the first Dreamcast games I saw at a yardsale. A much better deal then some people at a different house that was asking 8 bucks for Tony Hawk 1 on PS1... ew.. I never heard of any of those other games. I fancy myself a classic gamer (for the most part, I've played more NES in the last month than Xbox) but there are always great games that you've never heard of or considered. LOL at that one boss... that's definitely against protocol in the states.

I've bought a good number of N64 games used (ranging from good-to-like new condition) on eBay this past month to add to my collection/play for the first time. Maybe I'll post a pic of the cartridges later to go along with this list (in order of purchase, with shipped totals): Tetrisphere ($5.50) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, regular cart ($15.48) Conker's Bad Fur Day ($43.49) Turok: Dinosaur Hunter ($6.50) Turok 2: Seeds of Evil ($6.50) San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing ($6.81) Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA ($6.81) San Francisco Rush 2049 ($6.81) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, hologram cart ($6.81, or $27.25 for all four) Beetle Adventure Racing ($5.25, came with manual) Extreme-G ($1.275) Extreme-G 2 ($1.275, or $2.55 for both) Some deals were better than others, but I'm happy with everything I've bought thus far. Now, I just need to find the time to play the games more than I have new N64 buys in the past.

What's the ettiquite of bumping a thread that hasn't been updated in months but is still on page 1? I figured it's yardsale season, so any backyard deal-hunters might be able to share. And I love classic games, so let's discus classic games! Yesterday I picked up a box of random gaming and wire equipment that a guy relinquished for $20 bucks.. inside of it was: -A Genesis model 2 with no wires (I have like, four Genesises now- I might throw some crappy sports games with this one and resell it at a yardsale and some third party controllers for 20 bucks to make back what I paid for this box) -Ghouls and Ghosts on Genesis with box (awesome freaking game) -A three button Genesis controller- I have so much Genesis crap, too many controllers and wires to count... I seem to always find Sega stuff at thrift stores, but never SNES equipment.. but wait a second, this box also had... -Two SNES controllers (one first party and one third party- I'm really happy because I now have two first party controllers, and two third parties) -SNES games- Mortal Kombat 1 on SNES (aka MK PG if you will), SUPER MARIO WORLD (a gold standard that I never had except on GBA, glad to have it as I only ever saw it at flea markets for like, 15-20 bucks), Fatal Fury 2 (meh), NHLPA Hockey 93 (I have the Genesis version and it's a sports game so meh), Bram Stoker's Dracula (I remember the nerd ripping this one), The Combatribes (wat), Chuck Rock (wat), Super Off-Road (meh). I'll have to try them all out sometime... they're in order of ones I'm most interested in. MK should be fun because I've heard how they re-colored the blood to a gray sweat, and the game is also probably a ton better than the Genesis MKs that I'm used to from a technical standpoint. -The crown gem that made the entire lot worth it imo... an NES-101! It has no cords (but I have tons of spares) and sadly no cute little dogbone controller, but this was the reason I bought the bought. I Santino powerwalked over to the box when I saw it at a different sale a house over. I remember these being pretty rare, and my friend payed $100 for his with cords and just one dogbone controller in the summer of 2010. I plugged it in and it worked right away with no cleaning or dust blowing. The way they redesigned the top loader is so awesome... no more fiddling around trying to connect the game contacts on the 'toaster' Nintendo's tray. I looked on Ebay and you can get one for 'only' $50, but I don't care about the resell value.. this thing is my primary NES. #EPICWINNING. Meowth approved. I also got Spyro 1 on PS1 for a dollar, Black on PS2 for a dollar (I remember my friends saying this game was cool years ago), and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on PS2 for a dollar (always wanted this one, never bothered buying it new). I also bought San Andreas on Xbox for a quarter last Saturday. I already have it on PS2, but you can't pass up such a legit game for 25 cents. HECK YEA YARD SALES

Infact, it was the only GTA game I never owned. Hah. Took all these years to finally get it.

I felt like playing some SNES over spring break. Over the past week, Super Return of the Jedi, SimCity, and Mortal Kombat 2 arrived in the mail.
MK2 is going to be fun, it's a more 'legit' version of the Genesis version that I had as a kid.
SimCity I thought would be good for a couple of cheap LOLs. I saw the mess about the new one on PC and felt like trying out the original for the first time.
Super Return of the Jedi completes the trilogy for me... I never beat the first two though probably will attempt to take out Empire before sitting down and trying to beat Jedi.
