Ive got them all including Elites but if the Legends go so will I. Edit: By all I mean Elites, DM's and Legends (+Legends 2-packs & All Star 2-packs)
And I'm from England so mmy collection probebly cost double alot of yours did)I thought you said you were going to be getting the All Stars packs from Wrestlingworld? LOL I ended up getting it from a friend from the USA/MattyCollector forum. It did end up costing more than I imagine it would from Wrestling World... And I had to have them loose due to shipping cost's. It's still coming to WrestlingWorld (as far as I know) but I was bored and impatiant

NOT happy at all!!
i collect both Modern and Legends lines, but Legends was my fave...
i personally blame the HOF fiasco for the end of the line,if it comes to that....they're STILL all over the place up here...and it severely limited the distribution of Legends 3 and 4 at K-Mart's who waited (or are still waiting) for the HOF stock to go down before putting more stuff out...
even if they go the put one (or two) into the Elite series' , that's still a problem as newer Elite's (past Series 6,anyway) ,are also super hard to find around here...
then the matty.com solution, which will be more of a problem with the prices they'd go for....
honestly,i wish that Mattel, being a huge company, would just release the line til the end of the year, and then see what sales were like in December, then make a decision for 2012 based upon that....they can certainly affor to eat the cost a bit...
also, what does this mean for Defining Moments? they sell even WORSE than Legends!!

No, because I haven't passed on any Legends.

I've passed up on a few, mainly Slaughter & Snuka, because i want only one of each figure and i do not perfer those attires (Slaughter should be more traditional army colors and Snuka should have bare feet). So if they ended the line, I would def go back and get those knowing better versions would not be released.

Mattel have given us awesome product so far, but throwing in the towel after 1 year on legends, which is my favorite line, would piss me off enough to where I wouldn't give them another dime.

The only guy I still want that I passed on is Rick Rude but at some point I will grab him for a cheap price off here or Ebay or whatever. Other than that I have everyone I want. Not getting new Legends doesn't make me want to rush out and buy guys I never wanted in the first place.

I'm new to replying to this board, but ive been a fan of this website for over 5 years, If mattel stops the Legends line then I can finally say I am done collecting... unless they bump up the defining moments brand to 4 per set featuring only legends!

Mattel has been a huge bust for me. I bought around 20 figures and I just stopped and I'm glad I did. these figures are so overrated.

As others are saying, if Legends ends, so does my money going to Mattel. If Legends ends, I'm done with Mattel altogether, to be honest. They've killed too many of my favorite lines due to poor management (then have the gall and audacity to turn around and blame US). So, to me....nail in the coffin. They refused to sell them over here in the UK due to ''Low demand''. Well with the Classic line by Jakks. Atleast where I live I saw kids buying them out of respect or simply just because they wanted lots of figures to make there own stories and characters or something. Either way Argos and Asda would get them in. And they would fill the shelves for about a week and then be completely sold out. Quite simply put. If they stop selling Legends then I just won't buy anymore from mattel. At the moment I have to pay out the ass to get them and then they have the audacity to blame us who are doing our best to get them.

I've passed on a few only because they're so hard to get here in the UK. I can't believe that Mattel have dropped the ball so badly on this line though....it could have been sooo much better. Poor figure choices for the 2-packs. Odd attire choices for established figures.
If it disappears then it'll be back to Jakks for me.

No, the reason I haven't bought many legends is because I grew up in the attitude era. Warrior? Macho Man? Gimme. These guys transcend time, they are icons of wrestling. But as great as the Von Erichs and Kamala may be, I don't know near enough about either to justify shelling out £20 for a figure of them. Now if the line had an X-Pac, Mankind and classic attires of guys that are by default, signed to Mattel (such as Jericho and Edge), I'd be all over it. I know that sounds like one of those 'Mattel should make X and Y) posts, but I genuinely think my stance reflects that of the more common consumer. I'm sure many younger fans of the WWE are at least somewhat familiar with Mankind, or would like 'fluffy mullet' HBK or when Jericho in tights. Brian Pillman? Not so much. Are they rumours legends are going to end? Rumours, yes, but I wouldn't worry about it. Probably just scare tactics more than anything simply because the line got off to a bad start sales-wise. Don't forget that Mattel have recently signed a bunch of names, so at worst, Legends will probably just be mixed into the Elite line.

I only buy the people that Jakks didn't make anyway... Steamboat, Primo, Sheamus, Savage, McIntyre, Tatsu.... I'd imagine that this trend would continue whether or not they make the legends.. although I'd love the legends series to continue with some people that Jakks DIDN'T make.
Unfortunately, I don't see me purchasing more than five legends figures before the end of the year. The two Von Erichs, and the two or three Jakks legends that are released in the TNA set (if they aren't repaints)

Not starting with guys like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker you really got to question what they were thinking. Like someone here once said, Mattel really over thought this and attempted to continue where Jakks left off rather than take off with a new line. They could have at least have had alternative paint apps on Sgt Slaughter and LOD and used that to gauge what the people really wanted and made a running change to pack more of the more successful paint apps.
Also having Hogan, Flair and Mick Foley in TNA hurts the line as any legends line would seem incomplete without these guys.
That said I would be almost done with WWE figures if the Legends line were gone, I don't need countless Cena and Randy Orton Repaints. But I really, really, really need a Bret Hart figure and can't believe he wasn't slated to be done until now considering he was part of the roster when Mattel began making WWE figures.

I'd just ship mine back to the Mattel headquarters and ask for a reimbursement if it was possible. I thought they were gonna be in the line long term and not bail out.
I understand money is an issue, but I think they over shot expectations to begin with. They are partially to blame for the lack of sales and losing money on the line. They oversaturated the market, what do you expect was going to happen? I think some of the selections were odd too.
So, I'd probably just stop buying Mattel altogether and maybe keep a few a really love and sell the rest.
