Over the years, WWE have liked to have four top guys in their company. For example, around 1997, they had Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Undertaker and Steve Austin. Around 2001, they had Austin, Rock, Taker and Triple H as their top guys. Obviously, there will be times where this has not been the case, but a lot of the time, it has.
However, I think after the brand split, there have rarely been four definite top guys, due to them needing a mix of top guys on each show. Instead there have been far more than four top guys over recent years. But now, since Smackdown has suffered a big decline in main event names, I believe there would now be four top guys, exclusively on the Raw brand, with Smackdown as the definite B show in terms of star power.
So my question to you is, who do you see as the top four wrestlers in the WWE at the moment?

On the whole roster: HHH, Taker, Cena, Orton
Active roster: Cena, Orton, Rey, Miz (Edge would have been one).

Well HHH & Undertaker are still on the rosters...even though they aren't actively in any storylines....so I wouldn't count them...
That being said, we're left with Cena, Orton, Miz & Rey Mysterio as the biggest "stars"

Cena, Orton, Miz, Punk
Del Rio is right there, I would have put Edge over Miz probably. Punk is the top heel on the roster right now imo if I were to go by what I hear each week, just my opinion.
I agree though that the brand split has sort of eliminated the "big four," and I honestly think Cena is the only big name on the roster right now. Cena is the only guy who really transcends pro wrestling of the current generation of superstars imo.

John Cena and Randy Orton are two for sure. As far as the other two go, I'm going with Rey and Miz. Punk would be up there as well, but I feel that Rey slightly beats him due to his popularity with the fans.

Until two weeks ago Edge, Rey, Cena, & Orton. Not sure who will fill in for Edge yet.

Idk why ANYBODY is putting Punk in the big 4, he isn't there quite yet.
It's Cena, Orton, Rey, Miz. In that order.

I agree with Cena, Orton, Rey, and Miz. I really hate it, because I can't stand any of them, but as much as I hate to admit it, these are the big four right now. Ugh... How depressing.

The reason I included Punk is that he is now trusted with any opponent and any storyline that the WWE give him. He excells on the mike and most impotantly in the ring. He can carry any match and make any opponent look like a million bucks! Just don't think Del Rio's anywhere near this yet and as for Rey his star is cleanly on the way down.

No I agree with Punk being a great worker, however as far as a STAR, I think he's JUST about there, but with those 4 guys I listed in front of him. He WILL be, just not while those guys are still there.

Cena, Orton, Miz & Del Rio IMO, they are the main eventers.
& HHH, Taker & Rock are the other top attractions.

This question doesn't work in today's WWE. Reason? they try and have too many main eventers. No matter what four you pick I can name someone else who belongs there.
