If WWF wanted to end, WMX7 would have been the time to do it.
meaning it was just that great, the austin/mcmahon storyline came to a head. Gimmick battle royal... great card all around

WrestleMania X7 is no doubt the best WrestleMania ever. I'd rank WrestleMania 12, X8 XIX, XX & WrestleMania 23 up there as well.
WrestleMania 23 looked horrible on paper but HBK/Cena & Taker/Batista were actually very good. Plus it had the best MITB yet imo.
Other than that the card was pretty lackluster but when you look at mostly every other WrestleMania, the card wasn't as stacked from top to bottom as it could of been.

X7 was amazing, but God was I tired of that theme song by the time WM finally arrived. I heard it a few times a day because the PPV was plugged so much

There are far too many kids on this site.
WMIII all the way, in fact I can think of at least five better WM's than X-seven.

Wrestlemania X7 had Jericho/Regal, Taker/HHH, Benoit/Angle, Austin/Rock, TLC, Gimmick Battle Royal, Guerrero vs. Test, Shane vs. Vince all great matches on the card. The only bad match was Chyna vs. Ivory

I truly love this PPV. Definately the best PPV of all time.
I need to pick this up on DVD, but I don't feel like dropping $40+ for it.

WM 5,6, and 7 are great. WM 11 and 12 hold great memories from me as a young teenager and may the hight of my fandom.

As a matter of fact, I just watched 'Mania X7 today all the way through and I loved it (again).
Great booking with nice build-up for practically every match. You really don't see this kind of booking for WrestleMania anymore and it's a shame as WWF/E had it right for this particular event.
Also, if I may add, I believe Vince/Shane stole the show after watching it again today. It wasn't the best technical or hardcore/brawling match on the card, but the Linda spot worked perfectly and Shane ended the match with a bang. Also, Rock/Austin was a really great match and I especially liked the finish with all the chairshots making both look strong in the process, as it took that much for him to finally pin the Rock.
