Say what you will about moves like the AA and the Wasteland but the weakest move to be used as a finisher has to be the belly to belly suplex. I don't care how good Magnum TA made it look it was and always be a weak finisher... I don't know why by 1997 Shane Douglas was still using this. WHY WAS THE BELLY TO BELLY EVER A FINISHER What other moves did you you guys think we're weak when looking back at them? I always hated Hacksaws 3 point stance, and his taped up fist spot.

Because at the time when Magnum was using it, the move was never used. It looked quick and like it could knock the wind out of you for the 3 seconds that are needed to win. That's my take at least.

As said above, wasn't used often. Not to mention it can look devastating when done right.

i totally disagree. Magnum used it quickly and out of nowhere, Race used it with his weight behind it. if you used it on someone on pavement what do you think would happen? it was not a weak finisher for the simple fact that it could be used in a legit situation.

I loved Ken Shamrock's Belly-to-Belly imo.

Well look at the DDT, when it had never been done people were like "Man! He just got drilled!"
Nowadays I cringe at the thought of someone using it as a finisher.

I have to disagree on this one, when done right the DDT can be a legit finisher (Raven) Dreamers DDT was weak. I mean I could understand Yoko using it as a finisher, but even he just did it as a set up, Shamrock's was pretty good, and it served it's purpose of being a set up move.

I remember an interview with him saying that, anyone can execute the move but only he could deliver it a way like nobody else. I really like that philosophy and helps add to move mistuqe. But if anyone would us that as a finisher that wasn't 400 pounds plus i'd cringe

Cenas FU can be good but he has to go to ground with it.

There were a lot of weak finishers throughout the years. I always thought Bulldog's Oklahoma Slam was weak. It's just a running body slam. Yet, then again, Savage had an elbow drop, Hogan a leg drop, and Luger (during Lex Express days) a clothesline. All of those moves were common, but it's the way the wrestlers presented them that made them believable as finishers.

Truthfully now after re-reading this thread I hope we get the Belly to Belly as a finsher again. The closest we had to the belly to belly was when Shelton was using the T-Bone Suplex. Ethier that or a Magnum TA DVD.

Savages was great, you got a 250 roided up wildman coming up at you from the top rop with an elbow. Lex's was at least covered up by having that "metal plate"

The Belly to Belly suplex is ing awesome though! Just check out how Shane Douglas used to do it in ECW. The weakest finisher? Probably the reverse DDT... or the STO.

Come to think of it, when was the last time we saw the DDT get used on WWE television?

I always thought Kerry Von Erich's discus punch looked dumb.

Mr. Wrestling 2's knee lift. Yes, he actually won matches by executing a "devastating" knee lift.
Owen Hart used to execute a beautiful belly-to-belly suplex.

Hogan's Leg Drop was the lamest finisher IMO.
