RIP, Wether he's a big star or not, He still was a WCW Wrestler. And it's sad to see another wrestler go.

You guys are ridiculous.... "who?" "he wasn't anything special" GROW UP....or does it only matter when somebody dies if they were in the Main Event? Any life lost is sad, regardless of their "spot" in Pro Wrestling. Especially somebody as young as 34. Yes, it's sad he died, and at a young age, but really, who remembers the guy? It doesn't matter if there were in the main event or not. It's a guy, who only the most of hardcore WCW fans will remember. Half the people in here who wrote "RIP" are only doing it for the post count. How many people who wrote "RIP" actually remembered who this guy was? I don't really care what he did in WCW/no what he did in WCW, it is the fact he died. R.I.P.

I find it ing ridiculous how everybody is arguing about what he did or who he was, but in actual fact his name hasn't even been mentioned once throughout this whole thread, talk about hypocrisy. Fact is he died and was a wrestler, therefore he deserves to be wished a "RIP" whether we knew him or not. R.I.P Chase Tatum

It's sad. 34 is way too young. Did it say cause of death? Lets take a look did he have parents. Everyone has parents. Did he have people who cared about him probably. Is he a human. Yes. Did he ever do anything to make him dieing be a good thing. I don't think so. Wether he is remembered or not he gave his all in the squared circle. He might not of gotten a push, but does that mean we should celebrate? No. How would you feel if you were a wrestler and you saw that another wrestler died at 34? I think you'd feel that if it happens to him it could happen to you. If another wrestler dies at 34 what is keeping your favorite wrestler alive. If anything we should take him and look at his mistakes. I'm sure that what he did wrong wether it was drugs, suicide, or a disease another wrestler will die from it if they don't consider having all the wrestlers get checked for it. Eddie had a heart disease. If they would of made them get phisicals every 6 months it could of been preventable. Benoit had an elderly brain due to concussions. They could of gotten him help if they'd of checked all the wrestlers for concussions more. How about Curt Hennig he died because of his addiction. If all the wrestlers would of gotten checked for drugs and the company take it seriously maybe he'd of been sent to Rehab and still be here today maybe even still wrestling. We need to learn from every death wether they were jobbers or Icons, mid carders or legends, hall of famers or main eventers every death can tgeach us something on how to prevent. It is a shame another wrestler died but it'd be a bigger shame if we on't learn from him. RIP Chase Tatum

Really sad. When i first saw chase in WCW I thought this kid had star written all over him. He looked like he could be the next Lex Luger...great physique, look, name, etc. looks like he was trying his hand at acting. too bad a life so young was cut short...RIP chase tatum.

I think any person with common decency would write "RIP" just out of respect for the fact that ANYONE died. Many people use forums for many things. Some people use them as a way to cope with life, others use them for a sort of "guest book" when someone dies , to send their condolences.
Common decency dictates saying something nice. Some people have strong religious beliefs that compel them to write something nice about the deceased. And yes, some people write it just to boost their post count.
In any case, have some respect and not clog the thread where the topic is that a person passed away. Can't we all have a little common deceny here?
To the guy who said that it was hypocritical for the other person to wish death on your parents. He wasn't wishing death on your parents. He was making a point that just because your parents are obscure to the majority of posters on this board, it wouldn't be nice to dismiss their death just because nobody knew who they were.

What was his gimmick, that article was vague regarding his wrestling career? Still it's always sad when a someone dies, especially from drugs.

The either write "R.I.P" like everybody else or DON'T POST ANYTHING AT ALL.....rather than respond with some kind of smart ass remark like "nobody knows who this guy is, who cares" If thats the case, then I hope your parents die....who remembers them? Did they ever sell out MSG? Nope....couple of jobbers if you ask me. People around here need to learn respect and how to handle certain situations carefully and not act like such God damn marks all the time. It's really pathetic. Right, yet wishing death on my parents isn't pathetic IMO, I find it more disrespectful to right "RIP" about a guy I don't remember. A majority of people in this thread will just write "RIP" not even knowing who the guy was or what he did in wrestling. Really... so, pushing him aside instead of properly wishing a good after-life for the person is better?
