Managed to catch the Showdown At Shea before it was taken off last night and I enjoyed it, mainly for the commentary between Cole and Foley, though it seems like they werent taken things that seriously at times which is ok which made it even more enjoyable.
I checked out "MizTV" in the shorties. Everything would be fine except I got annoyed when Miz would pop up in the corner of the video and give a litle rant or insult about the video. Another thing is, I wish DeGeneration X "The Kings" was in full.

Today they took everything off and didn't put anything else back up. All's left is the stuff that was supposed to last until Nov. ( NOC, ECW)

It would be nice for once if they put something meaningful or noteworthy in the shorties section. I hate the Miz and after watching about three of those clips, its safe to say I won't be checking anymore out. I also thought the DX video was interesting...i didn't know Triple H was the only member...well him and Torrie of course. Wow. That track was great back in the day, its still not that bad.
The good news is they have that Starrcade stuff up now so I can't wait to see that.

Watching Raw was pretty interesting. As much as I love that year more so than any other, I couldn't help but think "Damn there are a lot of brawls/run ins going on". I mean I thought WCW overdid it with the nWo but damn this Raw in particular was just a bit much.
I also took notice to something that I didn't before. Have you noticed the amount of US fans that actually cheer Bret Hart or the Foundation anytime they get in it with DX? Now when the Harts are on their own they get booed but anytime Bret goes after Shawn or calls him out he actually gets a decent amount of cheers. Interesting.
Makes you wonder where they could have gone with this had he stayed with the company.

DECEMBER 2008: SEASON'S BEATINGS
Happy Holidays and “Season’s Beatings” from WWE 24/7 Classics. Celebrate this festive time of year with shows sure to get you in the holiday spirit all throughout December.
Legends Hall of Fame: Paul Orndorff – It’s the most “Wonderful” time of the year, as Paul Orndorff’s impressive career is chronicled. “Mr. Wonderful” was at the center of WWE’s explosion in popularity in the mid-80s, with classic rivalries with fellow WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Relive these classic battles, along with matches from Orndorff’s days in Georgia Championship Wrestling and WCW. Plus, see Orndorff honored in 2005 with induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The Big Ones WWE This Tuesday in Texas – WWE brings big time excitement to Tuesday night with a historic event from the Lone Star state. Two of the biggest Superstars in WWE history square off as Hulk Hogan looks to regain the WWE Championship when he battles the Undertaker. “Macho Man” Randy Savage returns to action, looking for payback against Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Bret “Hitman” Hart defends the Intercontinental Championship and much more from December 1991.
Old School – (2) Rarely-seen 80s WWE cards from classics venues. In 1985, Hulk Hogan heats up Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada when the WWE Champion battles the unpredictable Terry Funk. Plus, the British Bulldogs challenge WWE Tag Team Champions Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and Brutus Beefcake. In 1988, the Superstars head to the Spectrum in Philadelphia as WWE Champion “Macho Man” Randy Savage defends the gold vs King Haku. Other great matches from Philly include The Rockers vs The Brain Busters, Ultimate Warrior vs Honky Tonk Man and Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs “8th Wonder of the World” Andre the Giant.
TV Classics The Monday Night War – The battle for Sports Entertainment supremacy continues between WWE and WCW with (2) head-to-head clashes from November 1997. The unpredictable actions of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, D-Generation X and WWE’s newest force, the big red monster Kane make for wild times on WWE Raw. But it’s the fall out from the Survivor Series in Montreal that has everybody talking. On WCW Nitro, Hollywood Hogan and the nWo want a piece of Sting. Plus, great matches feature Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero for the WCW Cruiserweight Title, Chris Jericho vs Scott Hall and Curt Hennig vs Diamond Dallas Page for the U.S. Championship.
WWE Tribute to the Troops – Relive the excitement and emotion as WWE Superstars head to Iraq during the Holidays to support and entertain the military. In 2006, WWE Champion John Cena faces Edge and Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy battles the “Samoan Bulldozer” Umaga. The 2007 edition features WWE Champion Randy Orton facing Chris Jericho, the gorgeous WWE Divas in Tag Team action, D-Generation X and much more.
Shorties “Festival of Fights” – This Holiday Season, countdown the 8 days of the Festival of Lights with a “Festival of Fights” featuring Goldberg’s top matches. See the seemingly unstoppable force in memorable battles versus Hollywood Hogan, The Rock, Chris Jericho, Triple H, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and many more.
Blah. Goldberg? Seriously?

What was up with Superstar in his match with Backlund? He looked physically bad and his promo was awful. Not a bad match though

From JR's Blog:
Ross on a new WWE Legends Roundtable panelist: "Cowboy Bill Watts is set to be a panelist on the next round of the WWE Legends Roundtables to be produced in December. Watts is an intelligent and well spoken individual and was a major player in the wrestling business first as a main event wrestler in many successful territories and then as the owner of a viable territory, Mid South Wrestling which morphed into the UWF. Watts also had short stints in Turner's WCW and in the WWE."
Well, this should be interesting.

The new Legends Roundtable is up on WWE 24/7. It's the biggest moments in wrestling with Okerlund hosting with Foley, Flair, Tazz, and JR.

New legends wasn't too bad. It did get me thinking though of just how big Flair's ego is. Keep in mind I really don't care because he deserves to have one and I love it.
I just think its funny that people will complain about Bret Hart's ego for example but its cool for Flair to have a huge one. As far as I'm concerned, if you made it big in this business and you made an impact, you deserve to have an ego.
I guess the argument for that is "Flair gives credit when its do"....well so does everyone else that has an ego. I guess it all depends on who you just love whether or not you think the guy is too in love with himself.

I love Flair and he is one of my fav's, but he doesnt have an unbiased bone in his body. His opinions are 110% biased and he really has ZERO objectivity. On a whole though, this was one of my favorite Legends Roundtables. The topic was great and there was a lot of interesting things said, especially by JR ... to me he just has the best views and is always very subjective and in-depth when discussing these topics. Flair was funny though, he actually reminds me of my dad where he'll just go off on a totally irrelevent topic and just talk about it forever haha. Gotta love Flair though!

Indeed. I'm going to miss seeing him in the round tables since he did bring some life to the shows. Makes me wish he had a round table just for his bizarre stories he comes up with all the time.
Did anyone else catch the use of the three letters everyone has a fit about? They dropped "WWF" two or three times while talking about the moments. I don't care because I love it and I just can't stand when they or anyone has a fit when people use it.
They really seem to use it when they feel like it sometimes.

To be fair (to Flair) he is a legend and he knows he is one and wont think twice about telling someone he is, but at least he can still acknowledge when someone was better then him at something. I came right out and said Hulk Hogan was a bigger star then Ric Flair could ever be. Thats saying something really seeing as when Hogan left the WWF in 92 nobody really cared but in 91 when Flair left WCW every PPV world title match afterward there was a crowd chant of "we want flair"

Yeah I loved that he does give credit and he does deserve to feel the way he does. And I also thought it was great when Taz didn't want to toot his own horn and Flair said "go on you deserve it".
Does anyone know if that's the last round table to include Flair?

Yeah when Naitch mocked TNA I had a good laugh. I also found it ya know ironic since Foley is now with the company and all.
