I was told by the man himself, the main Ringside admin account to create my own thread to discuss this and to leave it out of the Punk figure thread.
So here it is.
I think Mattel lied to us and wanted hype for this figure.

Are you serious? Why would they show the figure, pull it and then release it as an internet exclusive? Wouldn't they have just kept Punk in the Elite set if they were going to release it? They didn't do this to generate hype, Jesus. People who buy the figure aren't buying it because ZOMG IT WAZ CANCELED!1@ they're buying it because they want the figure.

Are you serious? Why would they show the figure, pull it and then release it as an internet exclusive? Wouldn't they have just kept Punk in the Elite set if they were going to release it? They didn't do this to generate hype, Jesus. People who buy the figure aren't buying it because ZOMG IT WAZ CANCELED!1@ they're buying it because they want the figure. They didn't 'pull' it. They always planned on having it as an exclusive. They need something to excite fans into buying more figures. It's 'I can't have it so I want it more.' And no chance a few people on here got them to release the figure. Because if the WWE didn't want it released, they wouldn't be swayed by some people on an internet forum. |

Who cares if they teased us to get people excited? I kind of like when fun things like that happen.

It doesn't make me want the figure any more, if at all. Were they trying to create a Name We Do Not Speak situation?

I doubt they lied. Why else have an entire figure made just to hope it creates enough buzz once it's announced that it shouldn't have even been shown? That sounds completely and ridiculously contrived to me. Plus, why wouldn't they have had another Superstar planned for the spot in series that he was originally supposed to be in? People look way too much into the littlest things.

Why do people want it anyways? It can't wrestle with a broken arm, so you can't play with it.
I mean, as an Accessorie the Mask/Arm Sling looks awesome but... I would of preferred him dressed. Ala. SES Outfit when he was feuding with Big Show. (Hand tattoo's included).
