Michelle McCool is gone from WWE after losing a Loser Leaves WWE Match to Layla last night at Extreme Rules. The wrestler formerly known as Awesome Kong made her WWE television debut immediately following McCool's defeat and laid out the multi-time champion with an Implant Buster. In an indication as to why she's leaving WWE, McCool revealed to WWE.com that she's endured a slew of injuries the past two months. "My foot has been injured for two months now, broken toe, torn joint capsules, torn MCL. I took a good beating by Layla and Kharma, too. I know I'll be feeling it tonight, tomorrow and probably the next day," McCool said. "But I'll wear it with pride." McCool was introduced to the WWE audience in 2004 as a competitor in the inaugural Diva Search. Although the former school teacher lost the competition, WWE signed her to a contract in November of that year. She had been wrestling ever since. "I've been doing this for six years now. Love me or hate me, I hope the WWE Universe can respect that night in and night out, I've given it my all," McCool tearfully said. "This is definitely emotional, and I'm sure it’ll be like that for awhile." While McCool hopes to see her fans again, it won't be in the ring.
"Thank you for the love and the hate. Thank you for being you and for watching. Hopefully I'll see you around – not in the ring – but maybe someday." She echoed similar comments on Twitter, writing, "Thx for the love guys....I know there will always be rumors, but that was it - real talk! @mslayel ....nothing but luv 4 u! Luv u all...nite!" ~rajah.com

She gets a slack on here but Laycool were the only interesting thing about the Diva's for a good year or so. I'm in that "I don't care about the woman's division enough to care that she's leaving" category but I'll definitely miss Laycool's antics as a whole.

She´s having a kid so Taker and Triple H´s kids can have a playdate when their Daddys face each other next wrestlemania

I really did like McCool as an in-ring competitor, I just wish I didn't know that she was married to 'Taker and stuff. Like, I know how talented she was, but I couldn't help but think that she was getting pushed so much due to 'Taker, and how she never worked house shows, and Layla just usually tagged with someone random like Kaitlyn.

Liked McCoola nd liked the whole Laycool thing too.
I think the Divas division will miss her more than others I could mention.

Comments like these is why I hate when someone leaves through injures and personal decisions, they don't show them respect. If you don't like them, that's fine, but you could of at least shown some respect instead of "Good, made me change the channel anyway".

I liked mccool, just a bit surprised that she's really ending her career this fast.

So because someone over the internet gets butt hurt over it, I shouldn't be happy when someone that in my opinion takes away from the show and makes me change the channel leaves? If I want to express that I'm happy with that, then I will, if you don't like it well tough.

The only women wrestlers that I've really been a fan of are probably Trish, Lita, Sable, and Luna. That being said, I still enjoyed "divas" matches once in a blue moon from the likes of Phoenix, James, Kim, and a few others, with McCool being one of them recently. Most of her career I didn't like her, getting special attention because of her husband despite her lack of skill, but she's really improved in the ring throughout her career, and the past year or so she's really impressed and entertained me. I hope McCool returns one day if she's healthy enough.

How come people hated Laycool anyway? I thought there were awesome, I loved the whole arrogant, obnoxious, self-absorbed thing and thought they played it perfect. I'll miss the team, hope Layla does good alone.

Very sad to see McCool go, as she was one of the few divas I enjoy. Oh, and she could also actually wrestle unlike 80% of the WWE divas.

Not a huge fan, but I am sorry she had to retire so soon. Wish her the best

To this day I don't get the amount of disrespect she gets from most people just because she's married to The Undertaker. She consistantly put on a great showing in the ring and improved so much in the six years she was with WWE. It's a shame that they're losing one of their best female talents, but if you know that it's time to call it quits then more the power to you.

She's spent 300+ days on the road for years busting her ass to do something that she loves and has a passion for. Her being a diva doesn't make her sacrifice any different from any other competitor that you may respect.
