Christian Winning the WHC such a big deal for me. I was almost in tears when he was inches away from that title on Sunday. Needless to say I'm gutted. Hard worker, great talker and years in the industry and the WWE pulls this sh*t on him. Ridiculous. I've been getting into TNA more and more recently and I think that's soon to be where my allegiance lies. Worst mania in recent memory, burying some excellent stars such as Punk, Ziggler, Bryan, Bourne and now the biggest outrage of them all Christian. That BS excuse of a MNR on Monday was the cherry on the cake. You know what I hate most is that RANDY ****ING ORTON was the one to take the title off him. The least charismatic, dullest in ring, most overrated performer in all of professional wrestling. Dropping the title to ADR in some form, or another up and coming heel is passable. In fact, if ADR went home with gold at Extreme Rules it would have been bittersweet because he's one of the greatest in that company right now. But Orton? Get out of here.
Also, whichever moron decided to spoil this in the WWE section, please delete them. I'd never come to the spoiler boards, I HATE spoilers, but some imbecile had to go and post this for all to see? I think that warrants a delete right there.

There's so much uncertainty, that will be answered in the coming weeks.

I can't believe this just happened. I didn't expect Christian to have a long reign but 2 days is a joke.
I really have to wonder where the WWE is headed. Maybe I just don't get it. It's just my opinion but Orton is one of the most boring, overrated superstars in wrestling. Is he really that over with fans? If you watch the fans during his matches, there is very little reaction from them.

I cant' believe how upset so many of you are. Get some perspective on life. It's a scripted tv show. It's not real life. There are plenty of things in this world to be upset about, a wrestling tv show is certainly not one of them. Grow up

I'm curious if some of the guys saying they've been crying all morning have ever had to deal with things like death of loved ones, miscarriage, friends being sent to war, redundancy, serious illness, etc. If so, something like Christian dropping the strap shouldn't be that serious. You guys probably give more of a damn than he does himself.

So shouldn't you stop caring about us caring because there are starving children out there. They deserve your attention more than us.

When something happens in wrestling that I don't like, like a title loss or a retirement, I'll be a little sad or disappointed, but then it's back to my real life. I've read posts on here and other websites with some people saying they cried for an hour, some have called Titan Tower repeatedly to complain to admins and temps, some are boycotting WWE and tearing down the posters in their rooms, and others are comparing it to the pain they felt when their mother died. I mean in those cases - get a grip, people. Is life that empty that this is the worst thing to happen to you?

Wow, the place is really melting down.
Firstly, to IMAW... people are (I truly hope) not reacting to this news the way they would to the death of a loved one etc. But, simply in terms of being a long-term Christian fan, people are as pissed off as it gets I'd imagine. EDIT: Oh, in that case, yeah get a effing grip.
Secondly, if it turns out this has only happened because of an injury to Christian, then my view on the matter has totally changed.
Thirdly, Slappy, your right. That's a good point, Kane hadn't been around for over a decade and established a huge, loyal fanbase. For some reason I didn't think of that at the time.

Do I have to go find my post about wrestling in our lives and how it's an escape?
Plus, we spend our money on wrestling, some make a life from wrestling. It's not just a scripted TV show.
Look, you have a website about meeting wrestlers. That goes beyond a scripted TV show.

Yup, I've hung out with a lot of them and had some good conversations about the business, and that's why I know that this title loss isn't as big of a deal to the workers as it is to the fans. I posted in the WWE section about my reasons:

Anyone who lets the outcome of a wrestling match affect their day is strange to me. Looking through the posts on this forum you would think vince murdered christian.

Seems like you are describing wrestlers who are in it for the money.
We spend tons of money on wrestling, why can't we be upset? Why can't we withhold our money or time because we don't like something they are doing?
They do need to be told and shown when they make bad decisions and rewarded when they make good ones.
And you are acting like you are better than everyone.

Why is it so wrong to take it seriously? Why should fans boo or cheer? It's all storyline, why get invested in it? They all go to the back, hang out and have a drink together, so why boo or cheer they are just doing what the story has to be.

You can, but do you think they care? Most of the booking decisions in the past few years would indicate that WWE is doing what it wants, not what YOU want. And if I had a dime for every time an online fan talked about boycotts, protests and complaints, only for it all to die down be forgotten about in a week's time, I'd be purchasing this website. How? By being practical and realistic and not ridiculously emotional like the rest of you?
