Pettis vs. Guida is one week after UFC 130. They should bump it up to this event so they can have an interim champion. Edgar vs. Mayanrd won't happen until much, much later in the year.

I don't think there's a need for an interim champion. If we're not making Rashad/Davis for an interim title, then why Pettis/Guida?

lol I'm so happy now!
Edit:
I should clarify. I'm happy because I wasn't going to watch UFC 130 because I am not a fan of either fighter. It's never good to see someone get injured, but in this case, I can watch Hamill and Rampage without leaving before the main event

Wow, that sucks big time. Rampage/Hamil is a lackluster main event, but you know the card was stacked to begin with if they're bumping Thiago Alves to the main card.
No need for an interim title. This title fight will prob take place September/October. Wouldn't make sense to move Pettis/Guida to 130 either, and leave the Ultimate Finale without a Main Event. Only thing that sucks is, should Pettis win, he'd have to wait even longer for his title shot.

Am I the only one really excited for Nelson/Mir?

Pettis comments...
“They were going to have me fight Maynard on that card. I said yes to that deal right away. I guess it turns out that it’s not going to happen. I’m back to fighting Guida. It sucks that he got injured, because it kinda puts the whole lightweight division back on standstill. ”

I was looking forward to Edgar vs Maynard III. Now with the original main event out; I will most likely not order this. Normally I would, but I have to watch how I spend my money these days.

That's a real shame, like many of you I was looking forward to the main event, but still think the event will be good, Alves VS Story on the main card should be a good fight too...

Am I the only one really excited for Nelson/Mir? not at all, after i remembered it was on the card, i questioned why that wasnt promoted to the main event. to be fair though, i could honestly care less about matt hamill, so perhaps im biased in that respect. plus rampage didnt look like much vs evans and machida.

This card suddenly got worse. Rampage vs Hamill is a weak mainevent IMO.

I mean, the timing is rather coincidental.
