Cole/King, the weird thing about that was, except for Bret Hart, it was pretty much exactly what their Match at WrestleMania should have been. WWE really didn't need to drag it on for at least two more PPVs to get to that ultimate scenario, but just about everything that happened (I guess sub Bret for Austin) was what nearly everyone was calling for a couple months ago. Then, many here would've been complaining yet AGAIN that WWE is too predictable. No, we would have been happy that it was over and didn't have to sit through many more months of it.

Was tonight the first PPV ever where both Cena and Orton walked out as champions? I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. well, they've been on the same show for a while so they couldn't till Orton came to SD.

I hate the botch at the end of the Cara vs Chavo match... I hated the part that, even after he screwed up, he still won. On a side note, anyone trying a boycott again since Christian lost?

J12's massive, but incredibly well written post. You basically summed up all of my feelings towards this PPV. All I'll add is this. I stayed up for this one, and I almost wish I'd gone to bed and set an alarm for about 2.30 (that'd be about the half way point, just at the start of the World title match). During the first five matches, I have never been so bored in my life! Jackson/ Barrett had nice moments, but was generally slow and dull and then when it finally got going it was over with a crappy DQ finish. Cara/ Guerrero was good in places, however I ended up counting the arm drags because I couldn't believe how repetitive the match was getting... and the ending botch totally ruined it. The other matches (Diva's title, Mysterio/ Truth, Tag Team titles) just didn't belong on the PPV (and really, neither did the two mentioned earlier). Then the Cole/ Lawler match was terrible but mercifully short, and the post-match beatdown (of sorts) I only enjoyed because of the appearances of J.R., Eve and Bret Hart. A poor PPV, saved by two very good main events. The World title match was incredible, although I was gutted when Christian didn't kick out of the RKO cause I truly thought he would have. The I Quit match was basically just a beatdown, yes... but it was enjoyable. The ending was pretty terrible admittedly. The 'never before seen' way of making Cena quit had been seen before... Then for a battered Cena to chase Miz up the ramp and make him quit in seconds of being put in an STF was a highly disappointing ending. This show had two weeks of planning. Can't you tell. Oh and I almost forgot, Kane's comment about the rapture not coming was hilarious. Probably one of the biggest reactions of the night to that one. Gotta love Kane and Big Show. So yeah PPV was poor.

J12 - that write-up was almost perfect. I disagree with a few things, but I gave you +1.
Anyway, I personally thought the show was a bit bland. I don't think we can be disappointed that ADR was left off the card because I'm almost certain they were building towards JoMo/Truth and ADR/Mysterio before Morrison had his injury. I think his promo signified that he will be the next #1 contender for the WWE title - hopefully.
Christian and Orton put on a clinic as I've said.
Chavo/Cara was disappointing. We have a solid worker in Chavo and a man who can captivate an audience in Cara. I thought the match was nowhere near as good as it should have been.
Disappointed that Sheamus/Henry didn't even appear.
The ending to the night was diabolical. Not much can be said about it that hasn't already been said. Super Cena strikes again, really. His no selling just got absolutely laughable. Certainly he realises that the 'mature' fanbase can see that he isn't selling any moves? Does WWE even care about the 'mature' fanbase anymore? Having Miz run away and then choke into the microphone like a little girl was disgusting. And to whoever said his gimmick was to be a 'coward'. Come on dude... you can't have a 'coward' become a believable and credible WWE champion. Even kayfabe Cena said he respected Miz.
Last thing noteworthy as has already been pointed out was the commentary. It sucked. Cole was a bad enough commentator before he got this heel gimmick but now he doesn't even concentrate on the freakin' matches. Barrett and Jackson are going at it and all we hear is Cole/Lawler arguing and telling each other how they're going to kiss each other's feet. Not only is it ridiculously immature - it also takes away from the match. Commentators should add to the match and further draw the viewers interest. If they aren't doing that, then they suck. Lawler and Cole suck.

I watched the last few matches of this PPV. I don't understand how Christian can even be considered in the main event scene, after losing to the champion twice now, cleanly.

I thought the PPV was decent... christian /Orton was the match of the night. I was happy the Hitman came out.

What a painfully average extended episode of RAW sorry I mean PPV. The show was not terrible by any means it was just so damn average and forgettable that I am so glad it was on Sky Sports and was not PPV not that I would have paid for it anyway.
I hate when a PPV starts with a wrestler in ring giving a promo nothing makes a PPV feel just like a episode of RAW or SD to me than this.
Like I said it was not a horrible show but will anyone remember anything about it in a couple of weeks, probably not.

I honestly didn't think that the pay-per-view was TOTALLY appalling, although it was far from a great display. The card was pretty lackluster to start with, so there wasn't much to work with from the outset.
Opening the show with an off-beat promo with R-Truth was kinda weird, but I found myself laughing throughout the whole spiel. The whole "Shut up little Jimmy!" gag had me and my buddy in stitches. So tacky and weird. The match with Mysterio itself was pretty stock-standard. Nothing that jumped out and made it a great match by any means, but I'm glad that Truth went over. Which is odd because when he was a face he was one of my most resented wrestlers.
The Zeke bodyslam display was cringeworthy. It just sucked everything that the match had going for it (which wasn't much in the first place). Barrett still remains one of my favorite superstars on the rise. This guy could be what William Regal never was and it's an exciting prospect.
I don't know what happened at the end of the Sin Cara match, but god was it awkward and shabby. I'm not sure if Chavo sandbagged him or something, but Cara looked legit pissed after the match. Just such an abrupt finish after a botched move that we'd seen various times throughout the match. Weird circumstance to finish and I'm interested to read about just what happened.
I'll echo all of J12's sentiments when it comes to the tag team match. In my mind CM Punk is far and away the best thing that the WWE has going for it at the moment, and he's just being totally underutilized in matches like these. The one thing that I liked about him being in this match is that he genuinely looked like he was having fun in a match where he has a little less responsibility and spotlight.
Don't even need to touch on the holocaust that was the divas match. No Kharma, no quality.
The World Title match was superb. The one thing that I was most impressed about was the performance Orton put up. My friend and I have a theory that after Orton got traded to SmackDown he's taken up the attitude of "Fuck this, I'm going to show people why I should be the top dog here" and he's really taken the next step over the past couple of weeks. Maybe it's the manly beard, who knows.
The Cole/Lawler match was necessary to blow off the feud, but it just went that little bit too long. Plus the repetitive replays of the foot in Cole's mouth got a little redundant and disgusting.
Now, the main event was probably the most disappointing match of the night. As soon as it turned into a 2-on-1 beatdown, it wasn't hard to figure out what was happening next. Just turned out to be a boring match that saw the crowd get bored and totally uncomfortable.
Edit: I'd also like to add how cool I thought Punk's tribute to Savage was. With both the wrist tape and the elbow drop.

Glad I watched for the Christian/Orton match.... um.... Kanes end of world joke was funny.... errr... The tag match/Barrett-Zeke was a decent watch but could have been done better... thats it really.
I didnt expect Miz to be that dominant then just loose instantly, really makes him look weak after all the beating Cena took. Everything else on the PPV was just boring to me and glad it was free in the UK. If it wasnt then i wouldnt (before and after) feel the need to watch it bar the Christian/Orton match.
Such a shame as people like Ziggler, Bryan, Rhodes, McIntyre, Kofi, Morrison (injured so no go), Del Rio and Bourne where not featured in a match as all of them could have made the card more appealing and the overall product better.

Last night proved without a doubt that in 2012 the WWE NEEDS to eliminate their 2 extra PPVs. The show was ok...enjoyable for the most part, but it kind of felt like a 3 hour RAW special with 2 big matches and some filler. Rey/TruthSolid opener. I think those 2 need more build up and should extend the feud. Truth's heel mic work is awesome...it's looking like instead of a theme he's going to just trash talk his way to the ring. I kind of like it. The match was alright. Nice to see Truth going over....it's the kind of thing that helps them both, they can "trade" victories for awhile and we can be entertained. Zeke/WadeAny time Big Zeke is on TV I'm happy. The guy is a monster, and it's awesome. Plus he makes everything LOOK like it hurts...alot. That is the mark of a great "big man". The 5 bodyslam thing to Wade was awesome, hell I wanted more. However all this match ended up serving was to further the feud between him and Barrett/Corre. So if it was on Smackdown it would have had the same effect. Sin Cara/ChavitoI had high expectations. Chavo is a solid worker, Cara needs to learn the WWE "style" from a veteran. However I felt like it was pretty predictable, and the finish was awkward and anticlimactic. I wondered if Chavo actually did hurt his leg so they had to call an audible...but Chavo should have gone over here. To keep the feud going, so now what? Chavo has been talking about how Cara stole all his moveset...faces him and loses.......so where do they go now? Cara's special lightning needs to go, it really takes away from the match and actually can be dangerous...when he jumped from the top onto Chavo on the outside he was basically jumping into pure darkness, not good. Alberto really needs to switch up his promos a little bit. I don't mind the beginning, it's his thing, but all of his promos lately have been pretty much the same thing. I'm sure now he will be moving on to the inevitable feud with Cena so hopefully that will elevate his talking. Kane-Show/Punk-TistaNot surprised Kane & Show kept the straps. Ryan is getting better in the ring for sure. Punk played his part in the match perfectly. Nice Macho Man tribute from him too. I could go with the whole "Punk is better than this" angle, but whatever, if Punk is giving the WWE crapand not wanting to re-sign then there's no reason they should be making him a big focus point of the show only to have him leave. I hope that both sides can work out their differences so Punk can become one of the greatest ever. That is all. Orton/ChristianBlah 3 clotheslines, Blah quick powerslam, Blah 8 finisher reversals, Blah middle rope DDT, RKO out of nowhere, Orton still champ. Again Christian carries another main event match. I didn't expect him to win. I'm not looking forward to a heel Christian. Because it's bad enough Super Orton buries a huge face....but a heel? Forget about it (See: CM Punk, who was made to look like a pathetic jobber because Orton is the "greatest bad ass good guy ever" and Punk is the "ooooooo evil baddy heel guy") KMF Part DeuceThis feud HAS to be over now. I have been entertained by it for the most part, but it's definitley run the course. They really know how to gross us out, props to Cole for going through all that. Cole has really become a helluva performer. I'm really curious as to what happens next though. I Quite Quit??Cena in' rules. I haven't seen a wrestler take that much of a legit beating in a LONG time, and on a meaningless PPV nonetheless. Yes the ending was garbage...how Cena took belt shots, kendo shots, chair shots, etc. then just gets up after 3 minutes of rest and is able to literally run after Miz...I just don't get it..... but holy shit...the "spots" were just brutal to watch. I don't care that Cena won the match, I like Cena and don't mind him as champ...especially since Miz really did get a fair and long enough title reign...I just don't get why he always has to come off like an invincible human being, it's not realistic and takes me out of the ends of his matches. Miz giving up the way he did only made sense because that's the kind of character he plays...he's the heel who talks alot of game but then he gets caught and gives up real quick. It's a great way to get under your skin. The match itself was fine...it's an "I Quit" match...so they're not supposed to go out there, stay in the ring and hit moves. It's supposed to be that kind of beatdown stuff and having Miz + Riley beating up Cena for 20 minutes was cool.

I dug the Orton/Christian match. Can't be disappointed in him losing because he's still main eventing. The only time I will complain at this point is if he's moved back to the mid-card. The match was excellent despite being heavy on reversals, it's one of the best matches of the year so far and absolutely made up for the horrendous Miz and Cena match.
Super Cena continues to make the ENTIRE ROSTER look weak when he gets destroyed and massacred and wakes up from his beaten daze only seconds later. The worst part is, the crowd didn't really care.
They were wide open for Orton/Christian, though. People were going apesh*t.

It was weird watching the Orton/Chritian match as it was like a completely different crowd. They seem to be a bit dead at the start, Orton/CC = Alive, then dead again.
It's a shame more crowds aren't like that throughout the PPV, really adds to the whole thing.
I hate the stage they use for PPVs now, more so last night. There was just so little difference between that and a Raw stage it made the PPV seem so insignificant for me and like an extension of Raw. I wouldnt mind it if they did it for all stages except the big 4 to make them feel more special and the lesser PPVs to feel like they dont mean as much as Summerslam. But always using the same bloody stage is really starting to get to me.

It was an ok PPV. 7/10 I'd say. Hated the finish to Christian/Orton. RKO out of nowhere makes both of them look like piss. They need to extend Ortons' move set because he's getting monotonous in terms of moves.
