NOTE: I didn't really want to put in this on the Figure Fed boards, because it seems like those are for set feds that have names and are established on those boards. If you are NOT into figure feds, this won't be a thread for you!
Some of you might know about the figure fed/universe and contract/injury system that my brother and I have in place. You may also know about the fact that I've been working for over a year on a website for it, but that my personal and professional life has made that difficult.
The history I have archived of all the PPV events we've done goes back to September 08, and once a month since then for WWE and WCW, and for 90 percent of that time, once a month for ECW and TNA.
Generally speaking, we're down to only doing one pay per view a month for each of the four big companies (WWE, WCW, TNA, and ECW), and only occasionally doing shows with the indy companies of NWA and AWA, or Nitro/Raw/Impact/ECW on TNN. Hard to have a life and a geeky wrestling figure hobby.. so the hobby was scaled down, SLIGHTLY.
That said, I am getting closer to done with the site. I have a solid functional site for WCW, ECW, and most of WWE, as well as an overall universe "corporate" site.
I'm putting out a quick call to see if anyone has any interest in possibly helping write Impact and ECW's weekly show, and maybe even Nitro and RAW. Pictures are not needed, although I'll try to have a few pics for each PPV we do. My brother and I will handle those.. but filling in the gaps in between isn't something we have time to do every week. The only requirements are a good head, a strong figure collection, and a desire to do it! Let me know in PM if this seems like something that might interest you...
Points I want to make about our figure universe to those that don't know:
*Injury points are given when a move is landed strangely, or when the impact is something serious/botched enough that it could cause injury. Getting 6 injury points in a 2 month period equals an injury (whatever the last body part was that got the point.. broken wrist, neck, ankle, etc..).. and the time out is drawn from 1-12 months at random.
*Contracts expire a year from when they start, although wrestlers can be hired, fired, and traded at any time. Unless otherwise specified in the contract (this happened once when my brother traded Raven to my TNA, under the condition he stay there for a year or be fired, but not moved), a wrestler can be moved from WWE/ECW/AWA and WCW/TNA/NWA totally at the whim of the companies. Wrestlers can appear on a competitor's show, but only if the company they are signed to agrees. The honor system is in place to prevent using up one companies' budget to hire a wrestler for a different company. Indy guys can be used to, so long as the company has enough free money for that one show to pay the wage they are listed at. In order, the money rankings are WCW, WWE, TNA, ECW, AWA, and NWA.. the actual totals can be found in the Excel attachment, and will be posted on the website.
*No one can use names that would be trademarked to another company without that companies' permission. When I use Angelina Love in TNA, I'll use her TNA name, because I run both WCW and TNA. My brother sweetened a trade for Muhammad Hassan when he allowed me the use of both the name and the music for him until he left TNA. However.. MVP is Antonio Banks in WCW... Edge is Adam Copeland... Zack Ryder is Zack Driver in TNA, etc....
Now then.. here's a sample of what I've booked for the upcoming May PPVs of the two companies I run, WCW and TNA!
WCW SLAMBOREE
Announcers: Bobby Heenan and Tony Schiavone
WCW Crusierweight Title
Rey Mysterio Jr. (c) vs. Christopher Daniels
(Just bumped Daniels up from TNA, Rey returned to WCW last month and won the Crusierweight Title)
Dylan Postl vs. Jeff Hardy
(I've been pushing Postl as an actual threat, Bischoff has allowed him to use the stepladder in his matches, and he beat Booker T last month. Hardy was in a ten man World Title Scramble type match, but failed to defeat CM Punk)
WCW Womens Title
Trish Stratus (c) vs. Velvet Sky (w/Angelina Love)
(Trish is a part of "The Movement", which is basically WCW's version of Immortal, with Bischoff, Punk, Hogan, Foley, Trish, Nick Dinsmore, Chris Benoit, and Johnny Jeter)
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs. Kenta Kobashi and Ultimo Dragon
(Kind of a filler match, but I wanted to get these guys on the card. Kobashi failed to win a multi-man US title match last month, Ultimo failed to win a multi-man Crusierweight Title match last month, and Hall and Nash lost the titles to the debuting Adam Copeland and Christian Cage)
WCW World Television Title
Chris Benoit (c) vs. Curt Hennig vs. Owen Hart
(Benoit came in and double crossed the face Four Horsemen last month, turning to be Arn Anderson's mystery challenger for the TV Title, which he won. Hennig then debuted to become the Fourth Horseman with Flair, Malenko, and Arn. Owen and Bret have been feuding with The Movement as well, hence this match.)
WCW World Tag Team Titles
Adam Copeland (c) and Christian Cage (c) vs. Shelton Benjamin and Rob Van Dam
(Copeland and Christian beat The Outsiders for the titles. Shelton and RVD have been teaming up lately to face The Movement, and they're getting a tag title shot)
WCW United States Title
Harley Race (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
(The last PPV hosted like four Scramble style matches for titles. Harley Race managed to unseat Taz, but Danielson had the count, and the timer (that my brother and I couldn't see at the time) LITERALLY had the two count when the bell rang. I couldn't have planned it any better had I NOT left it up to chance! Singles match, set, and booked!)
Number One Contender Spot
Duane Johnson vs. Bill Goldberg vs. Sheamus O’Shaunessy
(Johnson made his debut in the ten man World Title match last month, Goldberg redebuted in the same match. Sheamus lost his bid for the US Title, but dominated most of the other nine guys, including Taz, Race, Danielson, and former champion Nick Dinsmore)
Hollywood Hulk Hogan, The Giant, Mick Foley, Nick Dinsmore, and Johnny Jeter (w/Eric Bischoff)
Vs.
Sting, Chris Jericho, Diamond Dallas Page, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Taz
(This is self explanatory. All of these guys have been feuding with the Movement, Jericho/DDP/Taz even having been forced to fight to get their jobs back.)
WCW World Heavyweight Title
CM Punk (c) vs. Bret Hart
(Last month, Bret Hart was the only man in the ten man match to wrestle twice in the same night, beating The Giant to qualify. Can Punk retain his title AGAIN, but against a fresh Hitman?)
TNA LOCKDOWN
Announcers: Matt Striker and Jim Lampley
(Last show was TNA's first show back after a few months)
TNA Television Title
Zack Driver (c) vs. Brian Kendrick
(Driver unseated Perry Saturn with inadvertant help from Desmond Wolfe. First title defense)
Mal and RO-Z (w/Armando Estrada) vs. Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner)
(Mal and RO-Z are the former 3 Minute Warning, and are the current bodyguards/enforcers (with Armando) for TNA President Andy Kaufman. So they're up against the Steiners to establish themselves in TNA.)
TNA Knockouts Title
Macaela Mercedes (c) vs. Mona
(Mercedes is Jillian Hall, she won a four way match, unseating champion Mona, who is the former Molly Holly. This is Mona's rematch)
“Welcome to TNA Match”
Team TNA (Samoa Joe, D’Angelo Dinero, and Chris Sabin) vs. Team Newcomers (Antonio Banks, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Kofi Kingston)
(Three TNA stalwarts against three guys fresh out of other companies (WWE for Chavo and Kofi, WCW for Banks))
John Layfield vs. Ted DiBiase Jr.
(In WWE, Layfield lost a loser-leaves-town match to Ted Sr. at Wrestlemania. This is his chance for revenge....)
World Elite (Roddy Piper, Eric Young, Desmond Wolfe, Drew Galloway, Bob Orton Jr, and Milano Collection AT)
Vs.
Jay Lethal, Suicide, Perry Saturn, Harry Smith, Sho Funaki, Ron Killings
(World Elite has yet to debut as an actual stable, although they've all wrestled in TNA individually. Here, they debut as a stable, and Desmond Wolfe and Perry Saturn continue the feud they've been in recently)
TNA X Division Title
Teddy Hart (c) vs. Alex Shelley
(Teddy Hart managed an upset last month to debut and win the X Title. Can former champ Alex Shelley unseat him?)
TNA World Tag Team Titles
Beer Money (James Storm (c) and Robert Roode (c)) (w/Sherri Martel) vs. Team Impact (Lance Storm and PJ Polaco) (w/Dawn Marie)
(Beer Money retained last month in a four way match with MCMGs, Team Impact, and the Steiner Brothers. Now, the match is just two on two)
Number One Contender to World Title – One Pinfall
AJ Styles vs. Warrior vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Jesse Gordy
(Jesse Gordy is the former Jesse and Slam Master J, and has been pushed A LOT over the past year, becoming X Division and Tag Champ, but never World Champ. Warrior is the former TNA Champion, losing it to Raven last month.)
TNA World Heavyweight Title
Raven (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett
(Raven vs. Jarrett.. seemingly TNA President Andy Kaufman is on Raven's side after buying the company last month.. but Raven doesn't seem so sure. What happens when he defends against the man that made TNA?)
Anyways.. that's what I've got. I'm attaching the EXCEL document that shows my contract system.. and you guys can feel free to use it IF you give me credit in whatever you use it for.
I'd love feedback on a few things:
1. Looking at the card I've booked and the contracts.. do you guys have any suggestions for me as to who to pick up with WCW, TNA, or even NWA? Indy workers can be signed at the listed price any time.. but everyone else has to be "bid" on (and getting the indy guy cheaper opens bidding as well). I'd love to pick up HBK, but there's no way my brother lets that happen, he's spending 1/5th of his budget on keeping him. Still, suggestions?
2. If I do this site.. will there still be any interest from folks? It'll be a combination of Jakks, Mattel, Playmates, customs, and any other figures that are somewhat playable with the Jakks RA style figures, but RA will be the overall basis for the feds.
Thanks for taking a minute to check out my silly hobby!
