Are you talking about Mattel having warehouses of unpopular figures? Then that's their fault for misreading the market. They would just sell them to the discounters, destroy them or bury them in the desert. Mattel recently disgraced the Rock by sending him to Family Dollar when there were many people complaining that they couldn't find one and were willing to pay full price. I am not defending Mattel, but no one can read exactly how popular a figure can be. For all we know, they could make a John Cena figure, who everyone already has, but there may be something about it that makes it a "hot" item. then again, there could be someone like Zack Ryder who people are dying for, but he may wind up warming shelves. You can't predict who will sell and who won't, you just gotta bite the bullet and take a stab at it, with hopes for the best in the end. You can tell a figure like Kerry Von Erich will be in demand, but you have some good points there. I remember for whatever reason, Jakks RA 11 and 14 John Cenas were impossible to find even though there had been several Cena figures made before those 2.
