just went grocery shopping at our local Giant Eagle market and when i got over to the dairy section, to my surprise, a wwe display case was sat up between coolers i decided to check it out and sure enough there was the brand new TLC set sitting there with Edge, Morrison and Wade. Didnt have extra money to grab any but i dam sure got excited to see the grocery store of all places carrying mattel new series haha hopefully wade is still there and i can snag him up in a week or so. Being i live in a small town i doubt anyone will buy him so i should have great luck at grabbing wade barret up later this week. Just thought it was a crazy weird place to carry mattel wwe. Especially the newest TLC line haha

Some grocery stores do have select toy lines. Surprised that Giant Eagle would have WWE stuff. I only ever went to Giant Eagle when it was still open in the town where my grandma lives. That store is long closed though so... This area has completely sucked. I'm on a 2 1/2 month dry spell with buying a figure. Elite 7 Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith were my newest, and those were back in February...I ordered the RSC Kane just to end that spell, plus I wanted the figure anyways. I knew once it got in stock, and people started ordering it, the price would be raised to meet the demand. But that's smart business.

it really is smart haha i noticed that with RSC too they sell the figures cheap when they first drop then when they get down to about there last 20 remainin they jack the price up too $25 to make a killing on them ha they did it with JTG, Regal, Ryder, Wade etc.. but yeah i live in a small town in Pa they just opened this giant eagle last year so they must be makin a come back sometime lol but yeah im the same as you shocked as hell to see wade barrett sitting in the dairy section of the grocery store lol sounds like a old bad shelf warming figure ya know haha real weird place to snag him up, if i had some cash i would totally grab them all up to sell.. they were only 12.99 too

They don't specialize in figures - obviously - so they will be $2-3 more than somewhere like Walmart or TRU.

yeah i figured they would be more expensive then those other places anyways, still thought 12.99 was not a bad price for a barret at least. would be cool if they get ryders in when i get some cash haha

At the rate the prices are increasing at Target,TRU,and Walmart ,12.99 for one of the newest series on the market is not a bad price considering its at a grocery store.

Most people blame Mattel for the price increases but it could be the stores like Target, Walmart, and TRU that are raising the prices so much. Who really knows?

I don't know if this has been mentioned but the other day I saw GE had a display with WWE DVDs by the checkouts. The displays had pics of wrestlers on them with the WWE logo. My guess is that GE has some promotion going or something that is new. I didn't see any figures out here in Ohio but I didn't really go out of my way to look.
