WCW in 2000 was terrible, while Most PPV's where OK some were barely watchable, Don't waste your time on it.

Personally I loved them, it was just mindless carnage it was great. It was a mix of wwf and ecw. I have the box set of 5 and each of them are great and all have something that will keep you whatching.
And also it was cheap, so

late WCW wasn't as good as 1995-1998 but it wasn't terrible, a lot of it was pretty good. Definetely worth seeing at least once.
it was great compared to WWE today *shudder*

I for one watched wcw/nwa since its existance. WCW from 1999-2001 was pretty horrible. You still had your stars like sting, Flair, steiner and nash but it was very TNA like. Their storylines made no sense and would just be dropped with no reasoning.
if your one that just wants to see the names your use to (goldberg, nash, hall, buff) then watch from 97-98. if you really want to see the entertaining parts of wcw with men that paved the way go back a lil later from around 85-94, and watch guys like flair, arn, blanchard, sting, luger, windham, simmons, vader and more

Man, WCW was utter garbage by that point. I basically refused to watch it. It was too hard to watch because it was just in a state of chaos most of the time thanks to Russo.

I really enjoyed the last year or so of wCw. They were really trying to shake things up a bit, and Nitro had that "what will happen next" feel.
My personal fav moment: Nitro was coming back from a commercial break, with the obligatory outside-the-arena camera shot . . . . you saw some random guy outside the building on his cell phone . . . out of nowhere, Kanyon ran up and hit a diamond cutter on him, made the "bang" symbol, and ran off. Priceless.

Oh man, I barely remember that Kanyon thing. That was hysterical.
I pretty much gave up on WCW in late 1999 so I don't know how good the ppvs were after that. For 35 bucks including postage I'd say it's worth checking out. There's probably some good stuff here and there. Plus, it would be cool to have the dying days collection of WCW.
