I'm thinking about picking up Madden, but I'm not an amazingly big fan of football, so I'm not up to date on my Madden updates.
Would it be wise to look into Madden '11 used instead of buying Madden '12 new? What are the key differences they did going into '12 that make it better than '11? How are the graphics between the two games? Will they continue doing roster updates for '11 for awhile so I'm not transactions behind the current season come season start in real life?
Thanks in advance.

Only gripe I have it that it seems fast. Like everything is sped up. Passing, rushing, etc, etc. Also while playing my nephew BJ Raji almost caught up to Devin Hester, and to that I say LoL ok I noticed that as well. Feels like my guys are floating whenever I control them. Hopefully that's not in the full game, it kinda takes away from the game IMO.

I had Cutler break a 70 yard td run on me, and Charles Woodson couldn't catch up with him. Uh, what?
But others complained about play action, but it worked fine for me.

Thanks in advance. Well I personally would just buy Madden 12. The graphics are better, the modes like Franchise and Superstar mode have apparently been revamped, the presentation is way better, the game plays better just from the demo. Also I don't think they will update the rosters on '11 anymore, only on '12 now. So yeah, I would just buy Madden '12.

Yeah after messing with the Packs playbook for a while I've gotten the play action down. Just certain situations it's useless.

I honestly have no time for punt returns, every time I catch the ball, the punt cover team is always within 10 yards of me and I can't do anything cause the blockers are down the field doing god knows what.

Special teams is hard because there's no blocking at all. Trying to user sometimes as the receiver is annoying as , they never jump for the ball. If the corner is playing on top of me, I want to be able to jump and kind of back shoulder it, but alas.

I really can't share any of the same issues, outside of trying to return kicks or punts. It took me a few games to get down the flow of things, but I feel comfortable in the pocket making passes and have no problem rolling out if need be. I will say that I find myself moving just a little, like to either the left or right while in the pocket, depending on where pressure is coming from.
But beyond that, I've been able to make passes, tight passes to long bombs, deep in coverage to wide open and have only been picked off once. And I play on All Pro for the most part.

Yeah after messing with the Packs playbook for a while I've gotten the play action down. Just certain situations it's useless. I find that Madden and the play action are pretty true to life. Set it up with the run. I'll run on first down 3 or 4 times, then come out with play action my next first down. If you don't set it up with running frequently, it isn't going to work. Any obvious passing down won't work. But for me, the key is getting rid of the ball really quickly. You really have to know your checkdowns on play action, so you don't get crushed.

I really can't wait to get the full game and start my Ravens franchise. Mostly because it's more of a challenge to win this year. I hate completely stomping an opponent.

I have stopped playing the demo completely. Not out of boredom but because I really only use my team, so in 9 days I'll be playing the crap out of it. Gonna try to make 1-2 tournaments and see what I can do with Newton at QB since he's stacked.

Yeah I got bored of the demo after a week. I'm planning to stay home from school on the 30th and get it on release day. Have done it every year since '04.

Yeah, I usually take Tuesday off from work so I can play Madden all day. I am trying to reschedule a meeting so I can do it.

Can't wait for Madden. The videos in the demo make it seem like it's going to be really smooth and realistic this year. Plus, I always love Madden.

Depending on my classes I might look to take the day off. I'm probably gonna pick it up at midnight on Monday night and try to win the Best Buy tourney. But yeah thinking about it.

I traded in CoD: Black Ops and MLB 11: The Show on PSP towards my Madden pre-order today. 30% extra because I put the credit towards Madden, and 10% for my PowerUp rewards card, I ended up getting $43.40 for the 2, and now have $63.40 on Madden. I'm getting the Hall Of Fame Edition, so I need $27 more, or I'd have it paid off completely now.

Hey, for anyone with the demo on PS3, how do you activate the surprise onside kick?
