The Thanksgiving classic just isn't as important and exciting as it used to be. I can't wait for WWE to release the Survivor Series Anthology whenever they do. It'll be a great nostalgic trip.
So what are your favorite SS teams of the Classic era?
My top two are:
- '89 Hulkamaniacs: Hulk Hogan, Jake 'Snake' Roberts, Ax, and Smash.
As a little kid there was no team bigger and greater in my mind than these four.
- '90 Perfect Team: Mr. Perfect leading Ax, Smash, and Crush.
My favorite heel team ever. Sometimes I don't think Crush gets enough credit. When I was a kid I thought it was cool that they added another member. It gave Demolition that heel edge plus he was more imposing than the other two.
The only SS team that has even come close to topping those two as my faves would be last year's team of DX, the Hardys, and CM Punk. Talk about a stacked face team there.

1987: Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, Brutus Beefcake & Hacksaw Jim Duggan (Considering this team formed 8 months after Savage and Steamboat's feud, and Steamboat was my favorite wrestler at the time, I watched that team with great interest)
1990: Ultimate Warrior, Road Warriors, Kerry Von Erich ... I used to mark out for all four guys, so that seemed like an unstoppable team

1987: Savage/Steamboat/Jake/Beefcake/Duggan (could care less about Beefcake & Duggan though)
1989: Warrior/Neidhart/Rockers 1989: Hogan/Jake/Demolition
1990: Perfect/Demolition 1990: Jake/Snuka/Rockers
and I just loved the matches of the all of the tag teams from the first two SS's!

Hmmm, great question. I'd have to say:
Survivor Series '87 - Hulk Hogan, Bam Bam Bigelow, Ken Patera, "The Rock" Don Muraco and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff.
Either that or again at Survivor Series '87 - The Fabulous Moolah, Rockin' Robin, Velvet McIntyre, and The Jumping Bomb Angels. Man, those Bomb Angels were awesome in the ring.

Not sure, if they were my favourites, but I loved The All-Americans. (Lex Luger, The Undertaker, Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner) from 1993.

Wow, I didn't know the Ultmate Warrior, Texas Tornado, and LoD were such a popular team. I was never a big fan of the Texas Tornado, but recently I saw the SNME match of Demolition vs. Ultimate Warrior and LoD and even tho it was short, it was awesome. Totally made me nostalgic and wish for the good old days. Too bad LoD's entrance began the disapearence of Demolition I forgot all about 91's team of Davey Boy, Bret Hart, Piper, and Virgil. Now that is a hell of a team. Even Virgil was pretty damn popular at this point. My favorite heel team would have to be either Ted Dibiase, Zeus, and the Powers of Pain or Ted Dibiase, the Undertaker, Honky Tonk Man, and Greg Valentine. Despite Valentine looking like an absolute idiot during the R&B days I still knew how much of a badass he was.

Speaking of the Survivor Series, I just got done watching the '88 main event of the Mega Powers, Hercules, Hillbilly Jim, and Koko B. Ware vs. the Twin Towers, Ted Dibiase, King Haku, and Red Rooster.
Man, I really found this match very enjoyable. It was very nice to see Randy Savage as WWF Champion and I forgot how cool the matching Mega Powers attires were.
Here were the highlights and other stuff about the match: - Awesome how Hogan hit the boot on Rooster and tagged in Savage to drop the elbow. God did Rooster ever suck. Loved his "WOOO" before trying to lock in the figure four. - The brawl and celebration and Heenan berating Rooster after his elimination All great stuff. - Everyone looked great, even Hercules and Hillbilly Jim. - Man the WWF made the Twin Towers look vicious. The sequences with the faces trying to get Bossman and Akeem off their feet was excellent. - Hogan being handcuffed and beat down was phenomenal. I liked how it led to the Towers being DQed and COed instead of being pinned. I really have to find the Towers/Powers matches, especially the Bossman/Hogan cage match.
All and all, a great match and good way to spend about 40 minutes on youtube.
Its sad to see that the Towers went from a great feud with the Mega Powers in '88 to facing the Rockers in '89 at WM. They should've gotten the tag title reign that Andre and Haku got. Towers/Demolition would have been a hell of a feud.

All the classic Survivor Series events were so good....ah the good ol days..... ^ I seriously agree with you. I cannot wait until Survivor Series gets its own Anthology! Another team I forgot to include in my post was the All-Americans: Lex Luger, The Undertaker, & Steiner Brothers.
