Do you think that Vince Mcmahon would be stuid enough to brink back WCW after what ECW has gone through and even WWE???
It wouldn't surprise me at all...
But if Vince ever does do it.... He needs to buy TNA and OVW and then make WCW and ECW into one. Let Paul Heyman be the GM of it and say there ya go.... Eric can be a announcer along with Joey Styles...

No. It will never happen. Vince has a strong hate for WCW, and he'd never bring it back.

I'm a HUGE fan of WCW, but I KNOW WWE will just make it look lame and pathetic if they bring it back. Just like how they trashed nWo in WWE.
HOWEVER, if it means we get some classic WCW on DVD (full uncut shows), I would be all for it, regardless of how bad the new WCW was.

I used to think that strong Hate with WCW was BS and that he might bring it back for money. But even today if you see interviews of him, he really dogs and makes fun of that company. I wouldn't mind seeing Nitro again, have Bischoff as GM...that would be sweet. But its not going to happen. There isnt a cult following like there is for ECW, which is why that returned.

Vince would bring anything back if it would make money. The trouble is, I don't think the WCW name is valuable enough to mean much if they brought it back.
WCW devalued their own name in the last years it existed outside of WWE, just by putting out consistently odd TV shows (I won't say they were all bad, because I enjoyed a lot of it... but there were some very odd booking decisions from 1999-2001).
Once WWE bought WCW, they immediately killed off whatever remaining heat the brand name might have had by bringing in a WCW faction during the InVasion, booking them to look weak and foolish, and then killing it off again. In the years since, WWE has only really mentioned WCW in two ways: Remembering what a failure it turned out to be, and remembering how awesome WWE was for beating them in the Monday Night Wars.
It's not like ECW, which was actually remembered a lot more fondly than WCW after it died, to the point where the myths and legends of ECW were probably a lot bigger than ECW was in reality. So when they brought back ECW, WWE could count on a built-in base of fans that would pay to see it, at least in the beginning.
I am not sure the WCW brand name has that type of potential after being dragged through the mud for almost a full decade now.

The proof is in the pudding. Aside from weather or not Vince will ever bring back the WCW brand, notice that there hasnt been that many WCW DVDs. No rise and fall, no history,no Starcade DVDs, no WCW greatest matches...nothing. YOu got the Monday Night Wars DVD, and then the few WCW matches they put on DVDs like Pillmans, and such.
There is money to be made with this video library, yet Vince continually just sits on it. This is proof enough that Vince would never bring back WCW. Hell, they dont even air that much WCW stuff on WWE 24/7.
I can understand not bringing it back as a brand, but dammit, give us WCW fans something to sink our teeth into!

nope and im happy, wcw sucked as it was in the late 90s and i dont even want to think about the joke that it was during their last few years. ecw is perfect if they just do it right.

Bringing back WCW wouldn't work. Who would be viable as WCW's top stars? Flair is too old to carry a brand, DDP is retired, Nash is horrible in the ring, let's not even talk about Hall, Vince wouldn't use Hogan in association with WCW, Booker T would be fine in the short run, Scott Steiner is old and not very mobile, Mysterio would be great but I doubt Vince would give him up and I don't even know who else.
I don't even think their roster is that big to even form another brand. And even if they did have enough wrestlers, Vince would lose interest and it would end up just like ECW.

I, a die hard mid-atlantic/NWA ala 80s fan who watched them get sold to Turner and formed into WCW then raised on WCW for the next 15 year even admits WCW SUCKED from 99-01

Some people still liked it, despite how bad it was. And I remember WCW putting on better wrestling towards its end than WWF, but whatever. To each his own.

Better wrestling? Is that what you call 10,000 Whatever On A Pole matches and 18 title changes in three months?
