Such a shame. Easily one of the greatest performers in the history of professional wrestling.
I think the thing that makes it sadder is the fact that he was just now coming back around, with the All Stars game and the new figures. It's just a shame that he wasn't on camera one last time.
Macho was one of the best storytellers in the ring, and I am convinced he could wrestle a wet mattress and have a great match.
I had the chance to meet Randy when I was a kid, and he was incredibly gracious, and just a class act. As lame as it is to say, a champion inside and outside the ring has been lost.

Very, very sad. But it seems that the "media" has been pretty respectful in honoring him, which is surprising imo. RIP Macho, you were one of the good ones.

I first heard this via Abyss's Twitter, because I'd just got home from school. I thought "what is he talking about?" Then, I see this thread. I am truly in shock. Words cannnot describe this. Sure, I never saw him live, but watching his matches via friends's DVD's is a good second recourse. But, then again, as posted before, you didn't have to watch The Macho Man/King to be associated with him, just hear him mentioned in a conversation. I am now DEFINITELY going to get his Defining Moments figure, when I get the time. First, we lost Edge to retirement, via injury, and now, we lose one of the greatest Wrestlers of the 80's and 90's. 2011 is not good for Wrestling. Today just sucks, beyond belief. The best thing the Wrestling Community can do is stay strong. It'll be hard, but it's what Randy would want, and it's what his family would want. That being said, I do this one... more... time...: OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I found out via a text message from a friend a few hours ago, and couldn't believe it. Absolutely terrible news. One of the best of all time is now gone.
Rest in Peace "Macho Man" Randy Savage

They talked about this on the Canucks radio and a few other radio stations. This is hitting people hard. Most people grew up watching Macho Man. Very sad news.

The wrestling industry has lost one of it's true superstars, and honestly, it's lost a face of an era. Rest in Peace, Randy.

It still seams so surreal. Not taking anything away from the deaths of other guys like Guerrero, Benoit or Owen but Savage was a true "Face" of not only the company but wrestling in general. Guys like Hogan, Savage, Flair and Andre are on pedestals of their own. Having one of those actually knocked off is just........Wow....shocking.
