If they aren't making any money off of the show it will get cancelled. If no watches it there will be no money coming in from advertising. If no money is coming in from the television show why keep it on the air. I don't see any evidence as to why the television show would succeed.

Its not that hard to figure out. You act like they're making a product unavailable to everyone.

How do you figure people will watch it? Just because the product is available doesn't mean everyone is going to watch it like you assume they will.

Because I know I'll be watching it, so unless I'm no one, it will be watched by at least a few people. Enough to at least build the brand more and cause an increase in other revenue sources. Its simple BUSINESS, my friend.

This could work out great for ROH or it could kill them. People on the ROH board are saying this deal puts ROH above a company that is watched by over a million people weekly, has video games, and action figures. Come on now. People assume that just because they like ROH everyone else will but in reality that isn't the case. As proven by TNA unless you are the WWE most wrestling fans won't give a crap about you. I do give credit to Cary for convincing someone that his business would be a profitable investment.

ROH is the best wrestling on the planet today so I'm glad it'll be back on TV. Seeing as they'll be airing the show and they appear to have quite a bit of money, I'm sure the advertising will be enough to draw in some new fans. Plus, if it's not shown in your area, you can watch it on the website so everybody's a winner.
By the looks of it, the company stays the same but they get a bit of financial power behind them to grow which is good. Take what Meltzer says with a pinch of salt, all he's doing is speculating, we'll all find out more from the press conference.
Oh and I'm glad Delirious is staying, has been great since he started booking, much better than Pearce.

I've never heard of the Sinclair Broadcasting Group, i'm a bit skeptical about this. It could either make or break them.

THAT'S HOW IT WORKS! Everything in business that's worth attempting is make or break.

The whole point that the franchise was trying to get over was that just because the Sinclair Broadcasting Group own the show doesn't mean they won't hesitate to cancel it if it does bad ratings. They're not going to keep the show on the air for a couple of hundred people who regularly tune in.

I've never heard of the Sinclair Broadcasting Group, i'm a bit skeptical about this. It could either make or break them. They're a bit Fox Newsy actually in what their management likes to bump shows for. Honestly, is it the worst ROH could've done? I'm for them getting on more stations and airing online, which it what that article makes it sound like. ROH needs as much exposure as possible and a company controlling 22% of the local station market works for now. 22% doesn't sound like a lot, but it's one company controlling almost a quarter of local stations. That's pretty good to get in with. Just hope the company doesn't decide that their show isn't making ratings so they need to make changes. But honestly, ROH will never be the big company people want it to be or grow to be. They provide a niche market and it works. If they went in with Chikara, PWG, and a few others to make a mega indie show, better chances.

Well, this is certainly a major announcement. Hope this deal works out and ROH gets some huge exposure. The bad news: I still don't get coverage! Same here. But hearing it will be available on the internet makes it that much better.

If it fails, they're not going to just shut ROH down, they're going to sell it to someone else (otherwise they would just be pointlessly losing money)
