GWP Show #1
GWP Show #1
The show begins with a logo appearing in the bottom left corner, it is the main GWP logo as it flickers for a couple of seconds. We see a live action shot of the ring, from the look you can estimate at least two to three hundred people in the audience. There are no barricades and in the front of the building is a large walkway, which is the entrance. There is a curtain at the top of the entrance. A music tone begins to play as out of the curtain a shadow emerges. It is professional wrestling great Verne Gagne. He gets a rather large applauds from the audience as he is dressed in a nice light grey suit. He has a microphone in his right hand as he walks down quickly to the ring. The entrance way is not very long so it usually takes thirty seconds to get to the ring.
He steps into the ring as he stands in the middle of the ring.
Verne Gagne: Welcome everyone to the first episode of Georgia Professional Wrestling! I am the owner of this company Verne Gagne. I have loved professional wrestling my whole life and I am bringing it to you. I am not a big talker; I’ve never been good with speeches so instead of talking about wrestling tonight, I’m just going to let my words speak for themselves. So without further ado, let’s start tonight with a bang. This is the first match in the tournament to find the G.W.P World Champion!
The camera pans over to the commentary team of Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross. The table is a wooden table with papers scattered around it.
Jim Ross: Hi everyone! I’m Jim Ross along with my broadcast partner Jerry Lawler!
Jerry Lawler: I don’t know about you but I’m excited about tonight JR!
A theme begins to play, it sounds like a Rhyno letting out a roar. Suddenly like a bullet Rhyno bursts through the curtain, hair dripping with sweat.
Jim Ross: The first match of Georgia Professional Wrestling is going to be the fellow in the ring now, Rhyno versus Ted DiBiase Jr.
As Rhyno slides into the ring and does a taunt he receives a great reaction from the fans. A new theme plays as Ted DiBiase Jr. opens the curtain. He comes out as his Dad Ted DiBiase is behind him. His Dad is dressed in a suit, as he is the Million Dollar Man. Ted enters the ring walking up the steel steps. He is dressed in black tights with a green money sign on the back of his tights.
Rhyno .vs. Ted DiBiase Jr. First Match in the World Championship Qualifying Tournament Match
The match begins with Rhyno taking it to the house. Rhyno begins throwing Ted into the corner and delivering brutal punching combinations. The referee soon makes Rhyno stop punching Ted giving Ted a small amount of rest. Ted came back with a brutal kick to the gut and a suplex. The match began turning in Ted’s hands as he delivered suplexess, and scoop slams. Rhyno was fighting back however as at one point in the match Rhyno came back with a surprise gutwrench powerbomb. This led Rhyno to getting a two count on the pin; he picked up Ted and began doing a serious of technical wrestling moves. Such as a fireman’s carry, and a snapmare takedown. The match soon led to the outside of the ring but Ted was able to get a couple cheap shots. As they were outside Ted’s Dad, who is also named Ted distracted Rhyno allowing his son to get a backdrop on the hard mats outside the ring.
Ted rolled Rhyno inside as Rhyno was getting up to his knees; Ted hit a nicely timed bulldog. Ted picked up Rhyno again as he threw him into the turnbuckle. Ted picked up Rhyno sitting him on the second rope. Rhyno began to turn around as he punched Ted with two jabs, Ted quickly responded jumping on the ropes. Rhyno did a head butt throwing him off as Rhyno leaped only to get slapped as he landed by Ted. Ted did a quick swinging neckbreaker. The fans began booing Ted as he was getting some cheap heat, it seemed like every move Rhyno did he had a reversal or some kind of trick up his sleeve. Ted then broke out in a reverse DDT submission move on the mat, but Rhyno got back up to the fans clapping. As he stood up he was pushed into the turnbuckle, Ted picked him up and placed him on the second. Ted did a back drop from the second turnbuckle. Rhyno hit the mat rolling over to his stomach. “Wow!” Jim Ross said loudly. Rhyno began to get back up on his left knee. “Wow how can you survive this, he must be some kind of man beast!” Jerry Lawler was blown away as he said that statement. Rhyno shot through on his left knee as Ted was in the corner anxiously waiting for him to stand up. Ted began sprinting, but all of a sudden Rhyno ran into him hitting Ted with a vicious Gore! Rhyno fell on Ted but Ted DiBiase Senior jumped up on the apron. He began arguing with the ref, with the time that passed with this arguing Ted was able to get back up on one knee. Rhyno was standing next to the referee trying to get him to stop what he was doing and count the pin. Then out of nowhere Rhyno fell backwards, Ted had him in a school boy roll-up. The referee turned around and began to count. Ted won the match as Rhyno got up intensely mad at what just happened. Ted was on his stomach as his Dad was trying to get him to get out of the ring quick. Rhyno began walking slowly towards Ted and unleashed a beat down. About one minute later Ted was completely laid out in the ring after being hit with another vicious Gore.
