Roleplay Easy Read Summary
The most important aspect of the roleplay is to read it on two levels. First enjoy it for its words and the physical images and representations that you find in it. I’m not the best writer but I do try to give everyone something fun to read while also storing my own personal ideas and images beneath the surface. This seems to be where I run into my biggest complaints and I have hopes that this might help.
When reading over it for that which I buried both in my word play and such, one must first have some small knowledge of Jadoa and Alex past. For new people this is a bit more difficult but when I am more so writing for two owners who have been around for a time, this is why I focus on the nuances. So here it is…
Alex and Shadows feud is not all that is important but their past. With that in mind I decided to use a mythological storied I had enjoyed in the past to make it easier to follow along. The idea was that at first both Shadow and Alex had come to their current situation with their own pasts and own wants and in turn found each other. Also by noting that I always use God with a capital G one can see that I am depicting Alex as mightier and above me when my time had started. This can be seen due to that only the Judeo-Christian God is capitalized and most polytheistic groupings are lower case. When Shadow originally started to draw fame Alex came back, with an already established repertoire.
In the story Shadow made note allowed of all his achievements and those he had ranked with. This is in turn how my Shadow had reacted when Alex began to throw his weight around. Though Alex was quite arrogant, Shadow was not ready nor able to truly compete at that level. The fight plays out variable instances and generalizations of how the over all feud and history took place.
The most important is the end of the fight. This is an interpretation of Shadow coming to a final fruition within himself. He had doubts and he knew that Alex was his elder and it would be a fight that would be long fought without fists and in turn he was able to overcome his adversity within him and give himself new strength. The fame, the award, and the honor could be his now and be deserved.
Direct Verse Explanation
“Though Jadoales was a beast of a man, in comparison to a God, he was still just as he was.” This line gives credence to the idea of a man vs. God, which is to say that when it started Shadow was still a novice where as Alex had already reached a status of veteran.
“She was a Princess and one of the truest left in the land. Championa’s eyes were laced in gold ribbons and her gait was hugged by a tight sundress that caressed her with every step. A grin perked across her lips, and both the God, and the Mortal felt weak to her glance.” This one should be obvious, this is a reference to the WFWF title and how most competitors, who have a chance at it, feel weak to its power and honor. Championa is just a human representation of the title.
“He spoke of his quests throughout the land and all that had stood in his way. Jadoales doted greatly upon himself and that of the Gods and Goddess that were his kin.” This was noted in the summary, just implying the original naïve status when Shadow and Alex first met.
“On one of the many breaks that had taken place, both men felt the wear of the fight and eyed one another with flames dancing about in their gaze. Alexelous broke the silence with a joyous tune of spite for all ears, “A Heave and a Huff and the man is wearing thin, A Heave and a Huff and still this God is looking prim.” The crowd drew in deep breathes of laughter at Jadoales expense.” This was where you can see that both men are coming to a head and still Shadow is seen as the weaker. This was more of an tribute to the fact that most do not have faith in Shadow winning this match.
“The man had pinned the God to the ground, the Gods jaw was full with the earth but his eyes still contained the remnant of his smirk. Then, in what seemed to graze only upon a second, the God had put on a coat of scales and slithered his way out of the hold and away from Jadoales.” The form of the snake in the story was much different then how I wish it to actually be interpreted. The original mythological text does not denote the snake as trickery but that’s exactly how I want it to be. Snake is synonymous in literature with evil and underhanded tactic. This is to show the skill that Alex has over Shadow due to the sheer time of experience he has had in comparison.
“Though in arrogance, Jadoales again showed naivety in not taking the God seriously. As before, this proved to be riddled with flaws and in that moment Alexelous released his green jacket and grew to an enormous size. Horns topped his head and meat topped his bones. The God had become that of a bull and his sights were upon the man that had dared try to earn a name by defeating Alexelous. The bull blew forth fire from his nostrils and drew forth enough air to produce a growl. “Let this be it, let it be done and when I find you fallen dead, let us all cheer for the God who had won.” He chortled with excitement before kicking a few clumps of grass into the air.” This is to show Alex over all annoyance with the resilience of Shadow. Despite defeat and humiliation the man will not stop at defeating the God. Shadow has little faith in himself but wont stop until he is gone. This was an assumption that this would draw anger out of Alex which is what the bull represents.
“Then in a sense of superiority Jadoales ripped one of the horns from the Gods head, sending him into a bloody roar. As he receded back to his river he spoke out one last time. “Bested me here, But not without regret, bested me here, but another life you will fret.” And the God vanished beneath the waters.” This of course is a representation of Shadow overcoming his doubts and finding himself in all the chaos. He finally retains the ability to defeat his opponent.
“Jadoales, with horn in hand, moved towards the beautiful Championa. She rested her lips on his cheek and with the next movement she removed the horn from his hand. She stuffed it with glory and praise and filled it to the brim. She called it Cornucopia.” Again, this is only a representation of the prize to be won and the honor that is bestowed with a chance at it.
