It's a text-based professional wrestling simulation game. You run a wrestling promotion in it.

I miss EWR, and I'd love to try out TEW 2005, but I lost that ability when I switched over to Mac. Replace EWR with GDS's WMMA and you have my opinion. God DAMN do I miss WMMA.

Haha, yes it is. I downloaded and tried TEW 2005, but it was confusing and quite boring. Also, I don't think it had real wrestlers or real promotions in it which took away a good deal of the fun for me. EWR is a lot better.

I fired everyone form the WWE except the unsackable guys and Yoshi Tatsu (with badass gimmick). Michael Cole and Triple H are now fueding. Every match is Yoshi Tatsu vs Triple H in a Hell in a Cell and every angle is Michael Cole and the McMahons crucifying Triple H. Overall I would say I was doing a below average job.
Oh and in a meeting it said Michael Cole was the most over person in our company and that he should be the focus of our show.

It's an operating system. I'm using it on one of my computers, but it's really not my thing.

I use the 1990 scenerio often. Once, I played as NWA... Snagged Mr. Perfect away from WWF, had him feud with Flair, and win the NWA title. Another time, on the WWF side, I lured Sting away and built him up to take the title at Survivor Series. Before I commit to a certain "game", I like to see who is at the end of their contract in the scouting area.

Is EWR free? I thought you had to pay for it.

Is EWR free? I thought you had to pay for it. EWR is free. Along with my WWF 1998 sim, I'm doing a WWE 2011. I signed The MCMG after they were fired from TNA, and they have been tearing up the tag division. Here are some of their matches and the ratings; Vs. Corre Four Stars Vs. The Usos Three Stars Vs. Dashingly Sinister Four and 3/4 Stars Vs. Dashingly Sinister - Ladder Match - FIVE Stars. I also signed Davey Richards who is feuding with Daniel Bryan. They put on a five star match at Summerslam. I want to sign Eddie Edwards too so I can have a MCMG/American Wolves feud.

Whaaaat I need to download this now then.
Last time I played EWR is was in the late 90's I think and I had so much fun. It was a little tough for me though cause I was a kid and got bored easily, but now I think I'd enjoy it a lot.
What version would I be looking to download btw? Is the latest version the one that's free? I know I could google all of this but I'd rather talk to real people who know what to do haha. =)

So....you don´t actually get to play the matches? No, the whole point of the game is to book and run a real or a made up company.

If I download EWR does it have WWE in it straight away? Because I downloaded TEW 2005 and tried to get a 2001 WWE simulation going but couldn't work it out.

I think the default is WWE 2004 or 2003. You can find the current rosters at ewr.battleground.com or something like that.
Haven't done it since March, though, I so I forgot exactly.

Here's where you can get current updates on the EWR data and also historic ones and fictional ones for fun. gnetwork.reallyhotstuff.net/EWR/index.phpI'm still upset that I can't have Six Man Tag Team belts in the game. I'm playing a custom scenarios where AAA and CMLL merged into NWA Lucha Libre. I wanted to use the Mexican National Trios titles as well as a new championship exclusively for NWA Lucha Libre. The roster had over 200 luchadors.
