Apparently some posters haven't discovered the virtual console.. Tell me about it, the Wii is worth it just for that alone. So you're telling me....

I would save the money, well I would buy records/albums/vinyls, and what not. But in this case, I'd just save it.

If you can't determine how to spend your money.. you really shouldn't be responsible for over $100. Make decisions like an adult

The Wii is terrible. Plus, the reason the price has been dropped is because Nintendo is going to release a new system soon, so if you buy a Wii now you're just going to be out of luck with an outdated system in the very near future.
If you really want wrestling figures, then buy them.

seems like you already have a 360 judging from your sig, so i'd say avoid the wii unless you have a very high interest in virtual console games, the mario series, zelda and the other big nintendo series. if you aren't a really big fan i'd stick with just the 360.
on the figure matters well if you enjoy them buy them, its probably better increasing your collection with more current roster guys than having less. your profile says you're 14 you're getting close to that age where you could drop having an interest in figures soon-ish. so you could have a slight look towards the future and save it. its also nice having some money saved for later if you ever want to buy something else.
you really need to have a think about it yourself though, think about everything and make up your own mind, only you know what you really want.

Save it, why spend it on a dead/dying console, wrestling figures, etc. Unless you have no bills, have no car, no license, etc then save it for a car or license, or put it away for something down the road.

I'd get a Wii or save for either Project Cafe (successor to Wii that's coming out in 2012) or something else.

Heres what makes sense to me. The wii is dying. Why buy one so late in its lifespan? Because everybody else in your class and all your friends have one? Did it suck getting to the wii so late? So how about you beat them to project cafe! Make this your start up money for when cafe comes out. Then you keep adding to it, and by the time they release it you should have a good amount, almost enough to pay it off. Rub it in their faces!

I'll give you an educated opinion about Wii since most people can't seem to form one without relying on hype/what their friends say.
For $150, Wii is very much so worth it. 1st party games alone (Punch Out, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Galaxy 1&2, Smash Bros Brawl) give the console some strength. A lot of worthwhile games didn't perform well (because the best way to encourage 3rd parties to make good games is TO NOT BUY THEM). Underwhelming sales = cheap games in the long run. You can get a nice selection of games for under or around $20 a piece. Muramasa, A Boy and his Blob, Okami, Pikmin, Boom Blox, Dewy's Adventure, Metroid Other M, Goldeneye, Little King's Story, Lost in Shadow, and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories are all low in price and range from decently to extremely high in value.
$200 can get you about 10 of those games I listed, all of which are drastically different from one another (and some from anything else on the market). If you don't have a lot of money to spend (which I assume you don't given your age), or won't have a lot to spend in the near future, you can get a lot of bang for your buck with Wii. Plus, they just introduced that new Nintendo Selects series that puts Zelda, Wii Sports and other 1st party titles at $20. It depends on what you want to play - a lot of the best games on the console are either unusual, or quirky or "cutesy" and some people either can't get past that or simply want more traditional style games. If you're okay trying out something new or something different, you'll have a lot to choose from.
There's also the Virtual Console. If you're too young to remember a lot of the classics, there's a ton of cheap games on there to give you a better understanding of where certain games came from. Many are extremely fun to this very day.
What others say about Wii is true. It IS a dying console. Nintendo's new one will be coming out late in 2012. I believe it's confirmed (or will be confirmed) to be backwards compatible with Wii. The only thing is, there's no way it's launching at $150. You'll be looking at probably double that. So, it's something to consider. But if you've never gone through Wii's library before, you have the luxury of a fantastic selection of games, some of which are incredibly low in price. There's A LOT of crap on the system though, so I suggest looking into reviews before settling on a few games.
Hope I helped some.

you were saving your money for figures, so stick to that I say. the whole point of the Wii price drop is to encourage impulse buying and get people making a quick decision without thinking it through.
if you wanted the wii more then you'd have been saving for that in the first place.
get the figures, then start saving for a wii. by the time you get close to having enough for a wii, you'll have had plenty of time to think about if you really want it, and by then the Wii price might have dropped even more anyway.
besides which, figures as a general rule get harder to find and more expensive as time goes on. whereas video games and consoles are still easy to find but get cheaper as time goes on.

I chose save, mainly because you may blow it all on figures, or get a Wii, then you may find something completely different you would want, and you wouldn't have the money to get it.

Because you're saving 14 you shouldn't save your money? It always happens but right after you spend the money something will come out that you want more then what you just got. Learn fiscal responsibility now and it will help you greatly later in life.

Buy a Wii. Anyone who says it sucks doesn't know how to use it properly.

Just bought Wii with MKart with my tax refund. Then I got SVR '11 and Resident Evil 4. Loving all three. Further, I'm loving playing MKart online against people and I'm loving streaming my Netflix onto the TV. Totally worth it. Grab one!

Now that Wii U has been shown, definatley save up for the Wii U. It's in HD, has way more abilities than the Wii, and has backwards compatibility with the Wii AND Gamecube. Plus if you have $150 now, you could save it over a year or so, then buy the Wii U. Trust me, it's a good decision.
