EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING
(AIRDATE: FEBRUARY 17, 2004)
WWE logo appears on screen.
Footage from last week shows Tommy Dreamer becoming one the semi-finalist for the ECW Championship.
Styles: Tonight San Francisco has gone Extreme! Hello everyone I’m Joey Styles along with the Hardcore Legend Mick Foley as we welcome you to ECW. We are sold out at the Cow Palace and tonight Mick we find out the fourth and final semi-finalist for the ECW Championship.
Foley: Joey Styles two men will compete for the ECW Title at WrestleMania and we already know three of the four men of whom those two will be chosen from. Tommy Dreamer, Brian Kendrick, and Shawn Michaels have already qualified. Tonight another man will join them and then we can dwindle those four down to two to see who is going to WrestleMania!
“What does everybody want?” The music of Al Snow plays as he heads to the ring.
Styles: Well Mick here comes a friend of yours and he looks like he’s got a purpose.
Foley: Al Snow and I have had our ups and downs over the years. Let’s find out what the Snowman has to say.
Snow: Last week I should have won the Extreme Battle Royal which would have moved me one step closer to punching my ticket to WrestleMania. But an individual by the name of Shawn Michaels stuck his nose or his foot rather where it didn’t belong. HBK, get out here right now and let’s see what happens when you have to look me in the eyes instead of cheap shotting me with Sweet Chin Music.
Styles: Wow Al Snow is calling out the Heartbreak Kid here to kick off ECW.
Shawn Michaels does not come out, however Marty Jannetty does.
Styles: The former partner and former friend of Shawn Michaels is heading out here.
Jannetty: Al Snow you shouldn’t concern yourself with Shawn Michaels, instead you should concern yourself with me. I am the one that eliminated you from the Battle Royal last week, not Shawn Michaels. So if you have a problem, then you need to take up with me inside this ring right now.
Snow: Okay Jannetty, you’re on!Al Snow strikes Jannetty and a referee hit’s the ring and calls for the bell.
AL SNOW VS. MARTY JANNETTY
Snow kicks Jannetty and pounds on him. He sends him in. Marty slides under and comes back with a reverse elbow. Jannetty nails Snow and sends him to the corner. He comes off with a cross body for a near fall. Jannetty elbows Snow. Snow nails Jannetty in the gut and pushes him into the ropes and rolls him up for a near fall. Snow clotheslines Jannetty and then nails him with elbows. Snow uses a back suplex.
Foley: Snow has always been a fighter. He may be one of the strangest guys I’ve ever met, but he is quite capable inside that ring.
Snow goes to the top. Jannetty crotches him and delivers a back superplex for a near fall. Jannetty delivers a clothesline and then another. Jannetty delivers a suplex and then goes for the Rocker Dropper, but Snow turns it into a power bomb for a near fall.

Snow delivers a big knee lift followed by a neck breaker. Snow then plants Jannetty with a uranage into a back breaker for a near fall. Al Snow goes for the Snow Plow, but Jannetty rolls him up for two. Jannetty pounds on Snow. Snow then dumps Jannetty to the outside. Snow is going to follow, but the referee is pushing back. Shawn Michaels runs out to ringside and delivers Sweet Chin Music on Jannetty. Michaels starts heading to the back. Snow sees Jannetty down and then pushes him back into the ring. Al Snow connects with the Snow Plow and gets a three count. Michaels mouths “your welcome” to Snow as he leaves.
Styles: Well it seems that Shawn Michaels has returned the favor here from last week and has kind of amended what he did, although this victory is not going to help Al Snow get a title match at WrestleMania.
Foley: No it certainly won’t Joey, but tonight we will find out who the fourth and final man will be to advance to the semi-finals to find out who does in fact get a title opportunity at WrestleMania for the ECW Championship.
Styles: That will take place Mick in a special Lumberjack Elimination match. In that match two men will start and the rest of the participants will act as lumberjacks outside the ring. Once a man is eliminated or exit’s the ring, one of the lumberjacks will enter until everyone has been in the match and all have been eliminated down to the last man. When the field gets down to the final three competitors it will become a triple threat match. Right now I’m told that Tazz has caught up with the Heartbreak Kid.
Tazz: Shawn, if I can get a word. Moments ago you cost Marty Jannetty his match against Al Snow. What do you have to say for yourself.
HBK: Well Tazz, it’s pretty simple. Last week I tried to help Marty out so that he would have no excuses. That didn’t work out too well for him. Al Snow didn’t like that and so I just tried to set things right. Now they each hold a victory over each other. So we should all be squared away.
Tazz: Shawn, tonight we are going to find out the final man who will qualify for the semi-finals which then decide who goes on to WrestleMania to compete for the ECW Title. We already know that you, Tommy Dreamer, and Brian Kendrick have moved on. Any thoughts on the final participant?
HBK: Tazz, it doesn’t matter a whole lot to me who moves ahead. Just remember I am going to do whatever needs to be done to be the showstopper like I always am come WrestleMania. If Mr. WrestleMania isn’t at WrestleMania, then it just won’t be WrestleMania.
Tazz: Thank you Shawn Michaels.
