Dont forget 1987 was before factual numbers had to be released and many believe that the 93k number is actually an inflated number (I myself believe this also) I've also questioned that number. At the time, the Silverdome's max seating capacity was just over 80,000. Did they really fit 13,000 people on the floor? Maybe, maybe not. Yea personally I dont buy it because if you look at the over head shot the arena floor isnt "filled" there is a ton of open spaces.

Maybe, maybe not. i think the actual figure is around 78,000. still quite an impressive number! It's impressive, no doubt. It was one of the landmark events in wrestling history. I also don't dispute the fact that Hogan worked hard that night and Andre worked through obvious pain. The match was far from great, but they did the best they could and the crowd was hot. However, you'll never hear Vinny Mac or Old Leather Butt talk about how NJPW throttled WM3 twice. On the other hand, there is a vid of Hogan, while the WWF champion, calling the belt" a toy" and saying that the NJPW belt was the title he really wanted. I'm sure Vince was thrilled over that. ;D

By your logic, that makes Antonio Inoki the greatest babyface ever and Ric Flair the greatest heel ever, without question? Well, pretty much this. Flair had it all, and he delivered on a consistent basis. The fact that he had so many championship reigns to his name is just the icing on the cake, as he had all of the intangibles to keep himself over for DECADES. Without question, it's Flair.

I thought it was funny how he said "Muta is a brand new star" the video is from 1993 Muta had been wrestling in Japan since 84 and was in the NWA in 89.
