Well for me, when i hear about things like this, i think to myself, they can't be as bad as what im picturing in my head/what you're saying/what the article says etc. So then I watch it to see if they're as bad as they're made out to be. Example. Human Centipede 1 is NOT as bad as its made out to be. where as Serbian film really really is. I watched serbian film and it was nowhere near as bad as I was picturing it would be after reading the description, maybe I've just got a really sick mind lol. The worst part is obviously the part with the baby but it looks way too unrealistic for it to look bad. I can barely remember it, I watched it in November. There's nothing in the film that really grossed me out, because i looked it up online and knew what would happen. Its definitely not something the casual film fan should watch, but unless you watch torture film to begin with, fair enough watch it, you'll be more desensistised than those who dont watch torture films. I recommended it too my friends a few weeks after i watched it, they threw up several times during the film, and started blaming me as if i made it, saying i should go to prison for watching it. I even showed them the wiki page before they watched it, so they have a sense of what its about. I didn't make them watch it, i just told them about it. |

I think the main point is, A Serbian Film, amidst all of its horrific images, it had a purpose. The sex, sexual violence, it was in a context. It also was sending out a message.
By the sounds of it, The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is simply a grotesque film, made for the purpose of being grotesque. That's it. No justification.

After reading through this thread, I watched A Serbian Film today. I read about it first, and I have to say, reading about it was a lot worse than watching it. The last 15 minutes or so probably effected me the most, as I thought it was the most  ed up part in the whole movie. Human Centipede 2 sounds pretty crazy, I didn't know the plot was going to be anything like that at all. I was expecting something more along the lines of the first movie, but I guess I should have known better. |

It doesn't even deliver as a 'gore' film because there's literally NO GORE in it. Perhaps they'll remedy that with the second film? The fact that it has been banned certainly has me slightly interested to say the least. He said that the 1st movie was just to get everyone used to the idea, and that he was going full force with HC2 poop and blood included Yeah, I think the budget had a lot to do with that. I still thought the script and cinematography were terrible, but then again, when I'm watching something like that I'm not paying as much attention to the technicalities. Needless to say, after watching a good number of gore films (Ichi, Audition, Martyrs, Cannibal Holocaust etc.) I was really let down by THS. Also, LOL at anyone saying you should be 'locked up' for watching this sort of thing. The human mind is a curious thing and naturally we are fascinated by that which is deviant. It's like '2 Girls 1 cup'. Most people have seen it, NOT because they physically desired to, but because they were curious. This genre of film is no different. Personally, I doubt I'll ever watch A Serbian Film simply because I have no real purpose of seeing it. But to say they should be locked up is both dismissive and to me, demonstrates a level of self insecurity. |

Never saw the appeal to these type of films. All they try and do is fill it will "shock vaule" to get some media attention.
While I haven't seen Human Centipede or A Serbian Film, just reading up about them makes me wonder why the hell they would want people to see it. Hell, just reading A Sebian Film alone makes me wonder why anyone would want to see most of that film.

Why would anyone want to watch this kind of trash. No story, no emotional attachment to characters, just pure brutality. I honestly think people who actually enjoy this kind of thing are messed up in the head. That being said I think it should be released uncut and those who want to watch it should be able to.

The new one just sounds too messed up. I mean, hc1 wasn't a good movie and was really gross, but I watched it with my roommates because EVERYONE was talking about how messed up it was. Adding anything sexual to the formula of the first one would make it unwatchable and nothing I would want to see anyways. Theres no need for it.
