It doesn't look that bad, but then again these are just pics so in person it might be more noticeable. I'm still picking up the Kane since I wanted the figure and the belt/briefcase were a bonus, so it's not such a big deal for me. Are you planning on posting pics of PPV9 and Elite 10? I can take a few snapshots real quick what specifically did you want to see?

Hey how about some better pics of the PPV9 Summer Slam Orton? I just ordered him this morning. And now that I see the pics that belt doesn't look that bad.

I wanted to get it because I thought the size might be better than the Jakks, but now that I see my releathered Jakks WHC actually looks like it fits an Elite Orton better than this, I won't even bother. I don't think it looks too bad though.

My only complaint is that it's too big but it still looks good to me.

Personally, I think it looks really good. I have loved all of the Mattel belts.
Everyone was so upset with the US Title as well, but its my favorite.
and I think this WHC belt looks really good to.
Maybe it will grow on you.

I don't understand the complaints with this belt. If you want an overly shiny belt with "pop" there are plenty of Outsiders 2-Packs laying around at Ringside for you to order.
One of the best things about the belt itself is that it's prestigious without being flashy, unlike the spinner. The "dull" look of the Mattel version of this belt captures that perfectly, almost the point where it looks more like the WCW title (a good thing.) In other words, the REAL one isn't as shiny as you are making it out to be.
Your problem is having it around the waist of a lousy champion like Randy Orton. Try getting ahold of a Captain Charisma figure and see if it looks any better. (It probably will, almost immediately)

Yeah, Sean is right. I guess you should probably wait until Capitol Punishment when the good Captain takes it back.

I dont care lol still buying the damn figure as its a great fig and comes with cool stuff. Please take a pic of E3 Christian with it. I would, but I don't actually think I have an Elite 3 Christian handy anywhere! Who would've thunk?! Basic I can do, though. Anything else, I guess we better hope that a new Elite one comes out soon.

So what you're saying is that, in your opinion...... CHRISTIAN! CHRISTIAN! AT LAST, YOUR TIME HAS COME! Seriously though, I thought the WWE title looked kind of dull from the pictures on here, but it wasn't until it was in my hands that I saw the detail and just how great it looks. I feel the same way about all of the Legends belts I've seen personally, and I think this will be the same way. As with all things Mattel or Jakks or any toy company, not everyone will be pleased with the product. I suppose we should just be thankful that you can do things like add gloss to make it more of your liking. Or as Tom said, you can always purchase a Jakks belt if it's more to your liking.

It looks ok to me. The World title has never been as shiny as the WWE title.

It looks awkward in the waist, it's just too big.

The vac metallization process, which gives the belts the shiny metallic finish, is not an inexpensive process. Each series of figures has a budget. For this wave of Elites we felt more comfortable including the vac metallization process on the two belts with the Big Show since they are most likely going to be the only time we ever produce those belts. We are planning to include the vac metallization on a future World Heavyweight title belt in the Elite line.
If any one is discouraged by this not to purchase the figure, I must take note to point out that the black bands on Kane's pants are a distinct and different black from the rest of the outfit, a detail that I was particularly proud to execute. Bill

Honestly,I think the Toybiz version from the WCW line actually works better for Mattels than their own does. The tag belts from this wave look nice though. That's around the waist of my Ric Flair custom. I don't have Mattel's WHC yet (boo hoo) but if you were to compare Mattel's belt to Toy Biz you would see the front plate on Toy Biz has a more curved shape which fits better around a narrower waist. Mattel's front plates may be too flat.

To each their own, but I think the belt looks just fine. I agree. I don't have any problem with it.

sum1 teach us how to add two more holes to that end of the strap, so the belts can be more FITTED around the SuperStar's Waist.. it needs it.... FiX - UP... STRAIGHT UP!

So I take it that means Tom will criticize the shiny WHC when it comes out. Yeah, I see that happening. Hah. The color doesn't bother me THAT much (except for the lack of red on the side plates, which is just stupid), although it is odd. The size issue does bother me. If it doesn't fit on a wrestler's waist and look natural, what's the point?

If it doesn't fit on a wrestler's waist and look natural, what's the point? All of the belts so far have looked weird on the really skinny elite waists, it's not something new to the World title.
