In my day. The only guy that couldve and wouldve done this, at that time, wouldve been Goldberg.
And it wouldve worked the same. He could have still blasted through people. But no, not in today's time. Although it would be pretty cool, I must admit. Good idea.

Honestly, I think they could have done it with Del Rio. He could have beat Rey for the title in his debut and I would have loved it.

Yeah lots of people have won belts on their first official WWE match. I think the only current belts to not have a first match winner are the WWE, WHT, and Diva's title. I can't really see them doing that with the WWE and WHT but expect the Diva's to be added eventually. Hell Kharma never had her first WWE match yet so have her do it when she is back next year!  |

I really hope not and would hate it. I'm sick of guys coming in and straight away competing for the world title e.g. ADR, Sheamus. What happened to guys waitiing a year or 2 before going anywhere near there?

They cant build a guy the old fashioned way where he's so over that all thats left in the end is to give him the title. Now they need to give people the title in order to get them over. It's pitiful. |

Big Show won the World title in his first match, in WCW, did he not. Yeah he beat Hulk Hogan by DQ if I remember right and due to a stipululation the title could change hands on a DQ, Think it was the Big Show's first wrestling match ever not just in WCW. |
