Variety has reported that Dwayne Johnson, AKA The ROCK, will be playing Roadblock in GI Joe 2 Cobra Strikes:
Fresh off "Fast Five," Dwayne Johnson is back in action, talking with Paramount about a role in the sequel to "G.I. Joe." Jon Chu, who brought "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" to the world, is directing the 3D update, titled "G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes." Johnson will play Roadblock, one of the most prominent African-Americans in the G.I. Joe canon, and among the biggest and strongest. Besides being a heavy machine-gunner, Roadblock is an aspiring gourmet chef. So ... do you smell what the Rock is cookin'?
Apparently Paramount and Hasbro smell what The ROCK is cooking, but do you? What do you think of him as Roadblock, a JOE or JOEbroni?

It's funny because he was rumored to be in the first movie, now it's confirmed that he's definitely going to be in the sequel. He's kind of a weird choice, even though he technically is half black, I don't see the resemblance, lol.

With little over a year to go before GI Joe 2 Cobra Strikes is scheduled to premiere, movie news has been breaking on a steadier pace. A month ago reports of casting calls for Asian females for Cobra Strikes surfaced. To us, the immediate thought was;

As it turns out, The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Elodie Yung is in talks to play Jinx:
French actress Elodie Yung is in talks to join Dwayne Johnson and Channing Tatum in Paramount's new G.I. Joe movie.
Yung will play a ninja member of the Joe squad named Jinx.
