Interesting, the roster does have mistakes though, I do see you got the roster off solie.org. For example, you get loads of nicknames right, and then spell 'Psychosis' wrong and call 'Kidman' Billy Kidman. Rob Ruckus is also known as Robby Rage, Bobby Eaton was still known as 'Beautiful'. Ken Kaos is also 'Kenny Kaos'. Jacques never used the Rougeau name in WCW. It's worth looking the entire roster over.

I will continue updating it as time goes by in WCW 1997.

WCW Nitro: January 6th, 1997
Glacier defeated "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton
The big and dominant Glacier defeated "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton in a short match. This opening match had a win for Glacier within 7 minutes. Glacier hit Bobby Eaton with the Cryonic Kick but Eaton wasn't finished. Glacier had to win using the Ice Pick submission for the win.
Konnan defeated "Big" Bubba Rogers in a Strap Match
"Big" Bubba Rogers was defeated in a good, solid 13 minute match against "K-Dawg." This Strap Match was a big match during the night and Konnan was cheered as he locked in the Tequila Sunrise on "Big" Bubba Rogers. Afterwards he proceeded to touch the remaining two corners needed to win the match. Once the strap was off of Bubba Rogers he beat Bubba with the strap.
Jeff Jarrett defeated "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson
Arn Anderson had many hits in and good wrestling was shown. But, Arn had hit a clothesline and Jeff Jarrett ducked and the referee was hit and went flying into the turnbuckle. Jarrett then grabbed his guitar and hit the Acoustic Equalizer on Arn Anderson. The referee wouldn't get up and Jeff was extremely angry and decided to start beating on Arn some more. The referee got up just as Jeff Jarrett hit the Stroke to pick up the win. Jim Duggan & Lord Steven Regal fought to a draw for the WCW TV Championship.
Jim Duggan and Lord Steven Regal had put on a good match. Punch after punch, clothesline flying everywhere, but this just couldn't end. Regal put Duggan into the Regal Stretch in hopes of retaining his WCW Television Championship. But as the referee counted to three for Duggan's pinfall, Duggan tapped out to the Regal Stretch. Lord Steven Regal retained his title by having a draw but Duggan will definitely have another match for the WCW Television Championship.
Hugh Morrus defeated Jim Powers
In a match where local Jim Powers stepped into the ring to face the talented Hugh Morrus but after several powerbombs Jim couldn't take much more. Jim had kicked out at a two count but he punched the huge Hugh Morrus to make Hugh Morrus even angrier. Morrus finally snapped and hit his finisher called No Joke to get the victory.
Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Psychosis
In some great cruiserweight action Rey Misterio Jr. beat Psychosis in back and forth action. With multiple headscissor takedowns from Misterio he managed to grab control of this match up, but Psychosis wouldn't give up. Psychosis managed to pull a super kick off followed by a moonsault. But Rey wouldn't give up. Psychosis attempted to hit the Psycho Stunner on Rey Misterio Jr. but it didn't work and Rey hit a bulldog. Rey used his speed as an advantage and as Psychosis got up Misterio Jr. hit a Tornado DDT and then hit the West Coast Pop for the win.
Kevin Sullivan defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr.
After many hard hits from Sullivan, Chavo Jr. had taken enough. Chavo Jr. hit a Northern Lights Suplex and followed it up with a Missile Dropkick. Sullivan fought back though after Chavo Jr. attempted to hit the Gory Bomb. Kevin Sullivan hit a Diving Kneedrop and gained control again. Chavo couldn't take anymore after a devestating Double Foot Stomp from Sullivan. Kevin Sullivan won the match by pinfall after the Double Foot Stomp.
WCW United States Champion Eddy Guerrero defeated Alex Wright
In some great mid card action Eddy Guerrero faced Alex Wright in a great match. Eddy hit a dropkick to start the match and Wright fell back into the corner. Eddy then managed to hit multiple European Uppercuts. Alex Wright hit a Spinning Heel Kick to gain an advantage. Wright then hit a Running Tornado DDT to Eddy Guerrero. Eddy bounced onto his feet and grabbed the ropes and Wright put the Sleeper Hold on Eddy, but Eddy nailed a perfect monkey flip to put Alex Wright in a headlock. Wright got out by twisting the arm of Eddy Guerrero but Eddy escaped and hit the Lasso From El Paso for the win.
Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray & Booker T) defeated The Amazing French Canadians (Carl Oulette & Jacques Rougeau)
The match started off with Booker T and Carl Oulette. Oulette hit some Stiff Chops to Booker in the corner. Booker soon flipped positions with Oulette and nailed many Backhand Chops. Booker attempted to throw Oulette to the other corner but Oulette reversed it and hit a Running Splash on Booker. Booker was hurt and Oulette took Booker to his team corner to tag Jacques Rougeau in. Rougeau soon hit a knee to the gut of Booker. Rougeau then hit a bulldog on Booker. As Booker tried to tag Stevie Ray in, Rougeau locked the Quebec Crab on Booker. Booker got out and crawled to the corner to tag Stevie Ray in at the same time Rougeau tagged Oulette in. Stevie Ray hit Oulette with a high knee strike. Then Stevie Ray spinebustered Outlette. Oulette was set up after a strike to the gut by Stevie Ray. Stevie Ray hit a Bicycle Kick. Stevie Ray then picked up Oulette and spinebustered him to win the match for Harlem Heat.
Lex Luger defeated Meng
Luger put his hand out as a sign of respect out but Meng hit a headbutt on Luger. Luger then turned around and hit Meng square in the jaw with a punch. Luger used the Hip Toss on Meng and it signaled the end quickly but Meng got up very quick and hit several chops on Luger and picked him up and hit a Samoan Drop. Luger then got up and looked at Meng. Luger struck Meng with multiple punches to the face and nailed a piledriver. Lex Luger then ended the match with a Torture Rack to get the win.

It's the Mexican/ECW spelling for Psy, but Kidman WAS Billy Kidman, nondescript cruiserweight jobber face at this time. A few months later he'd join The Flock and lose his first name. Jacques was in fact, Jacques Rougeau in WCW, but CARL Oullette is spelled wrong. I will definitely agree that it's a good idea to go through the solie.org rosters before posting. In addition, making sure you let people know who's face, who's heel, who's in a stable, etc. Can make it a LOT easier for people less familiar with the product at the time. Onto the first Nitro. I orignally thought it kind of felt like a weak show for Nitro, until I double checked and saw that it was the actual results that week. Wonder if maybe the bigger stars were in Japan for the Jan 4 show or something. Some of the writing is a little sloppy (Jarrett wasn't using the Stroke at the time, his finisher was a figure four, similarly Mysterio's stuff. I'd like to see it a little more consistent, and maybe proofread. I'm a big WCW nut, and I'd love to see this be really good, so you need to refine it and make it your own. Throw some angles in there, for sure.

Eric Bischoff: On January 25th WCW had plans to head to the Five Seasons Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. But I am afraid that is going to change. You know why?! Because the nWo is takin' over Souled Out in the Five Seasons Center! WCW talent is about to be squashed by all of the nWo's talent at Souled Out. The world ain't big enough for the both of us, so we are taking over the world known as World Championship Wrestling permanently on January 25th, 1997. There is nothing that anyone can do about it either!

Oh, I was under the assumption this was late 1998, based off of his signature haha. Reply working on now.

WCW Monday Nitro: Monday 6th January 1997...Glacier and Bobby Eaton opening is a weak opening contest, would have put on something a little stronger really. Only slightly stronger anyway. Would have rather Eaton won, but WCW were really bigging up Glacier around this time. I would really cut down on the bold and italics. Use bold by all mean for the match headers, italics for match description. Also involve some other skits and occurences, this show seems ALL matches and little description. And usually after a weak opening contest we would get a main eventer cutting a promo. Wonder where that was. Konnan beating Bubba Rogers is fine, nice Strap match too. I enjoyed Konnan in 1997. Just keep him out of the cruiserweight division where his Mexican friends are. Jeff Jarrett and Arn Anderson would have put on a clinic, glad Jarrett won, he's in control now. And yeah, Jarrett didn't debut the Stroke until the WWF in 1998. Jim Duggan and Steven Regal for the WCW World Television Championship is the right way to go. Would be painful watching them fight to a draw though. Don't rush the title back on Regal, but please put it on him at some point. Hugh Morrus with a win is cool. Jim Powers? Local? Definitely not, the dude was in the WWF at one point. Rey Mysterio Jr beating Psychosis was a good match, nice viewing of the cruiserweight division tonight. I loved their match at the Bash at the Beach 1996. Kevin Sullivan with an easy win against the near nothing Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eddie Guerrero had a good win against Alex Wright, Wright was still semi relevant here. Harlem Heat with a decent win against the French Canadians. It did the job. Lex Luger and Meng is a weak main event. Luger with a clean win is nice. Overall, very weak and nothing happening show. You set up the guidelines, but did very little to promote Souled Out in three weeks. Though you have WCW Saturday Night that was still packed like Nitro, it still isn't much. Every match ended cleanly, and there was very low indication of storyline. No non-wrestling, which is a bad thing in this what is known as traditional wrestling/sports entertainment. But oh boy, would have been a slap in the face to RAW had they still lost to this. I did like the Eric Bischoff promo, focus on storylines a bit more on Nitro next week. More note of Souled Out, and I realise you copied the actual Nitro card from the episode, so make the matches original next week. nWo Nitro on the same time as WCW Nitro would be a clusterf*ck. Just make Thunder if you have to. Keep in mind that you have Saturday Night to work with as well. Keep emphasis on Saturday Night, it was very important at this stage. Hope you don't debut Bill Goldberg too early, he would DEFINITELY not be ready now because he was green up until about April 1998 to be honest. Got SO many improvements, if you work on all of them, you will get this diary flying. Also, do more storylines than just nWo vs Sting/WCW.

Thanks for the reply! It was my first Wrestling Sim entry ever. I have made my own matches and to be honest this was more of to see if I liked doing this. Week 2 is almost done because I have had some time. I didn't have promos because I couldn't quite see how I should do that. I want to debut Goldberg, I actually have him in a match on the next Nitro I am writing up. He may have been green, but he still started getting over very quick. I hope you tune into Nitro next week too. I might start doing WCW Saturday Night's too. Trust me with the nWo Nitro thing because it will help my story. Thanks again.

Goldberg defeated Hugh MorrusThis match started with an intimidating Goldberg looking across at Hugh Morrus. Goldberg had started heading towards Hugh Morrus and hit a shoulder block on him. As Goldberg stood above Morrus he then stomped on him, picked him up, and through him over to the other corner. Goldberg attempted to put a Two-Handed Chokelift on Hugh Morrus, but Morrus kicked Goldberg in the gut. Morrus took advantage and dropkicked Goldberg. Morrus then went for his finisher “No Joke” but failed miserably as Goldberg switched Hugh Morrus around into a Pumphandle Slam. Goldberg was in the corner and preparing for the spear. Goldberg demolished Hugh Morrus with a spear for the win.
After the match “Mean” Gene Okerlund tried to interview Goldberg about his amazing performance in that match, but he couldn’t get Goldberg to speak about it.Steiner Brothers defeated The Nasty Boys The match started with Scott Steiner and Brian Knobbs. Knobbs slapped Scott in the face. Scott proceeded to attack Knobbs by taking him down to the ground and punching Knobbs repeatedly. These two went back and forth until the referee stopped them. Scott hit the Steiner-Line to throw Knobbs down. Then Scott tagged in his brother Rick. Scott hit another Steiner-Line on Knobbs and Rick gave Knobbs a German Suplex. Rick attempted to head but Knobbs, but Knobbs raked the eyes of Rick. Then Knobbs tagged in Jerry Sags. The Nasty Boys beat Rick down as Scott tried to get involved while the referee stopped Scott. Sags put Rick in a corner and gave a lick of the Pit Stop to Rick. Sags proceeded to miss a corner clothesline and Rick hit a Belly to Belly Suplex on Sags. Rick tagged his brother Scott back in and lifted Sags up and they hit an Electric Chair on Jerry Sags. Scott locked a Steiner Recliner onto Sags to make him tap.
At the end of the match Harlem Heat stood at the top of the entryway and applauded the Steiner Brothers match. Booker T said, The Steiner Brothers will not be able to defeat them next week to decide who goes to Souled Out to face The Outsiders for the WCW Tag Team Championships. Then Scott Steiner told Booker T that he must be very stupid to think him and his brother Stevie Ray are better than the Steiner’s and that his brother Rick and himself could defeat Booker and Stevie Ray any time and anywhere.WCW Television Champion Lord Steven Regal defeated Glacier for the WCW Television ChampionshipThe match started with Lord Steven Regal and Glacier staring off and Glacier hit a Sweep Kick on Regal. Regal fell to the ground and Glacier tried to lock in the Ice Pick submission and get away with the Television Championship, but Regal got out of the move. Regal hit a Double Underhook Suplex and locked in Half of a Boston Crab with his knee on Glacier’s head. Glacier grabbed the bottom rope and the referee counted to four to force Regal to let go of the hold. Regal stomped on Glacier a few times before picking him up and nailing a perfect Regal-Plex. Glacier was hurt, and Regal dragged him to the center of the ring and put the Regal Stretch on Glacier to secure his WCW Television Championship.
Buff Bagwell came up from behind and hit Lord Steven Regal with a chair. Bagwell told Regal that at Souled Out he would be defending the WCW Television Championship against him. Bagwell held the WCW Television Championship high over his head as WCW Monday Nitro went to commercial.Chris Jericho defeated WCW United States Champion Eddy Guerrero in a non-title matchEddy hit a dropkick on Jericho to start the match. Eddy bent down to try and pick up Jericho, but Jericho punched Eddy in the face. Jericho sprang up and hit a Running Enzuiguri on Eddy. Jericho then attempted to lock the Liontamer in and Eddy kicked Jericho down to the ground. Eddy then proceeded to put the Figure-Four Leglock on Jericho. Jericho reversed the Figure-Four and unlocked it, picked Eddy up off of the ground and nailed a perfect Hurricanrana. Jericho then hit a Lionsault but seen Eddy had his knees up to block Jericho. Jericho landed on his feet and locked in the Liontamer to win the match.
Masahiro Chono seen Chris Jericho backstage after the match and told him that he couldn’t face Eddy Guerrero for the WCW United States Championship because he hadn’t claimed the Number 1 Contenders spot. Chris Jericho said that he could defeat Masahiro Chono in any form of competition at any time. Masahiro and Jericho brawled until The Great Muta hit Jericho over the head with a steel chair.Syxx defeated Rey Misterio Jr.This match started with Syxx pushing Misterio Jr. several times. Finally Misterio Jr. fought back and failed to hit a dropkick and Syxx then landed a Moonsault on Misterio Jr. and got a two count. Syxx threw Misterio Jr. in the corner and delivered multiple Backhand Chops. Syxx threw Misterio Jr. to the ground immediately and made sure he got what was coming to him. As Syxx climbed the rope to hit a moonsault, Rey Misterio Jr. hit the ropes and Syxx slipped on the top turnbuckle. Misterio Jr. hit a picture perfect DDT to Syxx from the top. Syxx didn’t stay down for very long! Syxx and Rey Misterio Jr. tossed multiple punches back and forth until Syxx locked in the Buzzkiller on Misterio Jr. and Misterio Jr. tapped.Lex Luger, Jeff Jarrett & The Giant defeated The Outsiders & Hollywood Hogan w/Eric Bischoff & Ted DiBiaseHollywood Hogan started the match with The Giant but after Hogan hit The Giant with a few punches to the chest, The Giant yelled at Hogan. Hogan tried to run away to tag Kevin Nash in but The Giant grabbed Hogan. The Giant had Hogan set up for multiple chops but the war never ended. Nash and Hall couldn’t get in the ring to save Hogan from the 7 Foot giant trying to destroy Hogan before Souled Out in two and a half weeks. Eric Bischoff told the referee to ring the bell right this instance. The referee refused as he is a WCW referee. The entire New World Order came out to attack The Giant, Lex Luger, and Jeff Jarrett. Hogan escaped the ring to talk with Eric Bischoff about the current plan of attack. The entire nWo was attacking The Giant and Lex Luger since Jeff Jarrett escaped. WCW Monday Nitro went to break as Hogan and Bischoff had The Giant and Lex Luger held up.
Hogan started to speak about how he deserves his own show since Nitro is a horrible place to be. He claimed how everyone is after him and that the nWo deserved better. Bischoff started to speak on his own behalf about how The Giant will not make it to Souled Out and that he will not have the opportunity to face Hollywood Hogan. The lights went out in the entire arena. When the lights came back Sting was in the ring!!!! Sting stood in the middle of The Giant and Hollywood Hogan. Nobody could seem to figure out what was going on and what side Sting is on. WCW Monday Nitro went off of the air with many questions in the air. Will the nWo get their own show?
Which side is Sting on?
What will happen next week on the final episode of WCW Nitro before Souled Out?
These questions will all be answered next week so remember to tune in!

Ted Turner: Hello ladies and gentlemen. We are one week away from Souled Out and I have a big announcement for the big event! The Giant will have his match against Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, but Sting will be the Special Guest Referee. If the New World Order interferes, Hollywood Hogan will be stripped of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship effective immediately. I hope you all will tune in to see the big battle between The Giant and Hollywood Hogan at Souled Out! Have a great day ladies and gentlemen.

I really, really don't like this, for so many reasons.
Firstly, your shows are so short. Nitro was 2 hours at this point and CRAMMED with matches featuring so many stars, upper card and lower, heavyweights and cruiserweights. You're developing no feuds at all because you aren't booking anything other than a few matches. There are no segments, there's no mic time, nothing to help your product.
Your layout is dreadful. Posting random updates with random logos makes everything look incredibly clustered and poorly put together. Where are people like Bischoff and Turner (who was not involved on screen or in day-to-day WCW operations) making these statements? How are they doing it? Posting a single paragraph on it's own with no insight into what it is is terrible.
Why the hell would you create competition for your own show? That is complete and utter madness, because you're setting one show up to fail. Keep Nitro, have an nWo show on a different day if you must, or create Thunder at the correct time. For starters, though, concentrate on Nitro and the shows you're missing out for whatever reason (Saturday Night, WorldWide, etc.).
You're making several plot developments that don't make sense and aren't following the product as it was. For example, having Sting appear out of the blue to be a referee? Why interupt and ruin one of WCW's greatest storylines and the build for it to do this? It's absolutely unheard of.
You've lost me as a reader.
