lol i meant to only put him on the 3rd line, or even see how he works with the twins. 4th line would be Oreo-Lappy-Tambellini (resign him for .750/1 year). We need one more top 6 forward, cause i don't see MayRay cutting it. I have a feeling he's gonna have trouble shaking off this injury. i'd love to have ehrhoff back, but he's gonna want too much and i'd rather lock up KB3 long term. oh, and Trotz should be coach of the year. Coach V was badly out coached through the whole playoffs. I don't think Coach of the year counts playoffs. Just like the Hart and Vezina etc. I think anyway.

It was revealed today that the hit along the boards that Horton took in Game 7 vs. the Lightning resulted in a separated shoulder. Definitely looked like he got rattled but didn't know any damage had been done.
Also, today Chiarelli confirmed that Savard will be at the parade tomorrow, and they are planing to petition for his name to be on the Cup with the rest of the team. Pretty awesome news.

Other sports they get rings, I understand the cup is a bit different but come on I'm pretty sure they need to play in at least 41 regular season games, or one playoff game to be eligible for their name on the Cup. There going to petition for a few other players on the team, too.

Savard should be on the Cup I think.

As much as I wouldnt mind signing Jagr (Him and Datsyuk would be godly) I would rather focus on goaltending and defense first. That and Id rather sign Jussi Jokinen before Jagr

I've been madly following Bryzgalov's twitter. I know he won't say much about possible contract details...but I'll still follow.
...And plus half of his tweets are in Russian....

Seems like we are close to a contract with Brewer, which is great. Bergenheim, on the other hand, has a little douche for an agent. His agent is trying to ride in on the great playoff performance, and I guess believes that Bergie is gonna score 30+ goals next year. I want Bergie back but if he's gonna be greedy he can leave.

What I would do for the Flames next season. Due to some contract issues, we basicall have no choice but to go for the playoffs with more or less the same team we had last season. If we make it great, if not, I won't be too sad, as we have some expiring contracts after this coming season, and I don't want to mortgage the future for the present. Big things are to bury Kotalik and Hagman in the minors. Don't buy them out, cause then we'd still have a couple million cap hit from them. Suck up the money and bury them, and hope they walk out of their contracts and go to Russia, then we don't have to pay them. But bury them. I'm wanting to bury Stajan as well, he's useless and way too overpaid, but I doubt the team will bury three contracts worth 3 million or more each, so just Hagman and Kotalik for now.
Resign Alex Tanguay to a 2 Year, 3.5 million a year deal. He's worth it on our team, as he plays better here than anywhere, and Iginla plays better with him. He may be able to get a bit more on the open market after his production last year, but I think he'd sign here for that, given his success here. I'd bring up TJ Brodie on the defense full time this year, and same for either John Armstrong or Lance Bouma as our fourth line centre, whichever looks best after training camp, I'd prefer Bouma myself. Sign Karlsson to a one year deal at about $650,000, bit of a raise over last year, he was good, but I wouldn't pay a backup with 15ish games of NHL experience to more, so if he doesn't take it, look elsewhere. Because of our centres being good in number, I'd move Jokinen to the wing. Resign Pardy to one year at really cheap, and if he won't sign so cheap, bring in a different cheap 7th defenseman. This line up would JUST fit under the salary cap.
Tanguay - Langkow - Iginla Glencross - Backlund - Jokinen Bourque - Stajan - Moss Jackman - Bouma - Kostopulous Ivanans
Bouwmeester - Regehr Giordanno - Sarich Carson - Brodie Pardy
Kiprusoff Karlsson

Bob McKenzie said on his twitter that the salary cap is bumping up to 64 Million next year. That gives the Nucks more breathing room.
