That is awesome, never saw that before. It's like it's the Summer of Punk II.

I'm pretty sure that he'll leave with the WWE Championship, and at Summerslam there will be a Match for a new designed Vacant WWE Championship, or a Multi-Brand Undisputed Champion.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet: Work or not, this might be the opportunity for WWE to finally lose the spinner belt and introduce a new one. Punk wins title at MITB and leaves with the belt. On Raw the next day someone unveils the new title and figures out who takes the now open champion spot.

I really don't want Punk leave. It's like all of my favourites are leaving, and it sucks.

In the past year alone we've lost Shawn Michaels, Batista, Edge and now CM Punk, while Chris Jericho has been gone since last September and Triple H and Undertaker have each wrestled once in 2011. Damn. Well anyway it's a shame he's leaving. The only way I'll be happy with this is if he leaves with the WWE Title at MITB and then WWE re-introcudes the previous WWE Title belt, then there is a tournament for the new title, then there is a unification match between the WWE and World Champions, then there is one World Title across the two brands... and that won't happen so, damn.

You're really not going to find a better argument than that. As for what's actually going on with Punk, there's a part of me that can't help but feel that they're using this whole thing as an angle. Then again, that's probably the same part of me that'll be extremely upset to see him go.

So at Money in the Bank, Cena has Punk in the STFU, Vince comes down to the ring...
What? It's happened before.

I really hope this match with Cena is a classic. There is no reason he shouldn't be able to carry Cena to the match of his career, and with the situation being what it is, I'm sure Cena is going to work his ass off to make it memorable.
The question, of course, is what's next? His leaving RoH was to move onto the WWE, but what comes after? He's not going somewhere bigger, so he'd have to be downsizing, or taking a break entirely.
I think one of the big question marks, which I find incredibly interesting, is how WWE plans to handle this. With it (as far as we know) being his last match with the company, and it being held in Chicago, there is absolutely no doubt that it's going to be almost impossible to make Punk the heel. Cena gets a pretty negative reaction in Chicago already, but put him against Punk, and they're going to tear him apart.

CM Punk is nowhere near on the same level as any of the other names you mentioned. And, I really hope he does win the WWE Championship. That way when he leaves, he can take that bling bling piece of garbage with him and they can make a new title.

If CM Punk was really leaving (especially on bad terms over a name dispute), why would WWE let him main event a PPV? And why would they let their title look bad?

So, is he leaving or not!? It would be a horrible loss for them. Hopefully my friend comes through with those MITB tickets. Has the making to be an epic night.
