WWE has done things like this before. I think he'll be gone and it's due to the whole name issue.

Maybe he'll win, and take that ugly ass title belt with him. Punk is my fav in WWE. I hate to see him go. But this would be a good way to introduce a new title. Punk wins. "leaves" WWE taking the belt with him. They have to make a new title. Then comes a tournament to crown a new champion. When Punk eventually returns, he has a storyline that he never lost the title.

Tournament for the new WWE title would be great. Summerslam would be so epic if they went that direction.

He's one of the top 3 workers they have. You all will miss him when he is gone.

He is the reason I've been paying close attention to Raw......if he leaves, I'll still watch [continue my now 15 year streak of watching Raw in some form each week when it airs] but it won't be as great without CM Punk there. I will damn sure miss him.

I will miss him too. He's one of the best. A lot of great superstars leave WWE or quit in the last years. And now CM Punk.

That actually sounds like a really awesome angle. This is something that could definitely work if he has resigned and is just going to take a break before returning. It isn't the approach I expect from WWE but I would love to see a tournament. I think it's just too easy for Punk to stay an extra month via the ROH angle or have him win and drop the title to the MITB winner.

WWE should make a deal with ROH and boost the popularity of both shows by having CM Punk appear in ROH 90 days after his contract ends in the WWE. Punk could show up with his WWE Championship, but there couldn't be a tournament. If there was a tournament they would need to have the finals be a draw. The World Heavyweight Championship would be the main championship for a while until CM Punk came back. After the 90 days have Punk appear on ROH TV and shock the world by appearing with the WWE Championship. On Raw every week, have some of the ROH Roster at ringside along with CM Punk to form an anti WWE alliance. They then could go in many directions and provide new life/interest in their product.

Punk is also my favorite on the active roster since Jericho is on hiatus. I like your idea, and speaking of Jericho...I'd love to see a face Y2J/ heel Punk feud if and when they return (and I think they will, as this thing is probably a work so Punk can take some time off). Both men are among the top heels ever, but only Jericho truly shines as a legit main event face, so a world title match at WM28 (if Punk/Austin doesn't happen) would be an amazing dream match that would outshine Rock/Cena, feud and match wise. Afterwards Jericho turns heel again (which he's naturally better at) and goes on the different show. It would be a shame if these two never had a proper feud, and it happening at WM next year would make it possible for me to see it live.

I KNOW WWE would never do something like this, but I would love to see them work with ROH just briefly. Punk wins the title. Shows up with it in ROH. THEN...MITB winner shows up and cashes in at their event. Just something to cause a stir. But WWE doesn't do things like that these days.

FML! Just when I thought there would be something interesting to watch on WWE programming! STAY PUNK STAY!
Alrighty I guess it's time for The Miz and Alberto Del Rio to carry the ball.

Punk wins the title. Gets on the mic and says " i told you i was taking the belt with me" boom MITB winner cashes in def Punk. Thats how id do it. That is most likely what will happen, as predictable as it is. But I really do hope he brings that ghetto piece of garbage with him when he leaves.

They definitely need to copy the storyline from the end of his ROH run.

Punk just tweeted this earlier:
It's scary, doing something your whole life, and looking at a calendar to see you have just 23 more days of doing it.

Though WWE would be the only thing getting in the way of it actually happening. I believe ROH would be happy doing that.

Guys! Isn't it obvious? Punk WILL win the title, but lose it to Mr. Money In The Bank, when Mr. MiTB pulls a Kane, and cashes in within an hour of winning the case! Heres how: -Punk wins WWE Title Match (Punk happy, Chicago Fans happy) -Mr. MiTB cashes in. Beats Punk. (WWE Happy for getting title back) -Since CM Punk left, he cant get rematch, meaning that Mr. MiTB then defends against Cena at Summerslam, which leads me to believe that ADR will win MiTB for Raw. *Edit* Didn't see that JuiceWinslow already posted the 'Cash-In-The-Night-Of' theory . I still think that ADR will participate in/win Raw's MiTB match because recently, he hinted a match with Cena at Summerslam. (I think he said it at E3) That sounds just about right.
