This is sad..the only reason he is as good as he is is because of his reach... youre joking right? his go to move is the clinch.

Jon Jone is the real deal I guess, look forward to seeing him and Rashad go at it!

Take away his reach and that would even his fights out. People never really try to get inside on him...its him clinching with them. Rashad is the only one fast enough to get inside... Save.Us.Suga.

So his clinch striking, strikes during the break, incredible grappling, throws and subs mean nothing?

Save us from a new exciting impressive athlete which will give us some new fights instead of the same guys at the top of the division fighting each other? that, let the Jones era begin.

so one fight makes rashad a striking machine? this is a guy whos nickname was blanket for god knows how long. we dont have to give bones the respect he deserves... he'll run through blanket too though. machida is his biggest challenge.

I honestly think Rashad will pose a bigger challenge to Jones than Rampage. I don't think he'll run through him. But I definitely agree that Machida's style is his biggest challenge.

Awesome. Rampage got worked! Dude should seriously retire. With all his natural ability it's still not enough because he refuses to evolve. Bones is here to stay haters!
I actually got all my predictions right with one finish correct. Pretty sweet night indeed.
Gutted for Hughes, he was doing so well in the standup. I was actually seeing him possibly "GSPing" Kos with the jab. But he gave it his best like he always does, much respect to Hughes!

I wouldn't go as far to say as no one would beat Jones.
Great win for Jones tonight. I picked Jones via submission, but I was thinking something more along the lines of a leg-lock, definitely didn't see him choking out Rampage.
With that said, definitely looking forward to Rashad/Jones. I didn't really care for Rampage/Jones when it was announced, but Rashad/Jones is the one I want to see. A much better match-up which I see being more competitive. Especially considering the differently kind of animal Rashad looked in his last fight.

I'm fast becoming a big Jon Jones fan... I've never had a problem with his "cockiness" and to do that to Shogun and now Rampage, at such a relative early stage in his career is incredible... he seems scarily good. I can't see anyone beating him at 205.
Rampage was very classy afterwards too... sounds like he wants Shogun next. And I thought Hughes might pull off the win after 4 minutes of the first round.... damn.

Not really sure what I saw tonight. Either Bones used a game plan to utterly destroy Rampage's heart or I saw Bones use his natural abilities to avoid a slugfest with a power puncher4 until Rampage lost his mental composure. Until I see Bones get into trouble and handle it I will withhold the "greatest ever and totally unbeatable" comments.
I am a long time Hughes fan and I can say it is time for him to retire. It was sad to see Chuck dropped time after time, and against Franklin he was doing so well until a counter punch floored him. Hughes has nothing let to prove and fights against the likes of Kozz and Sanchez are meaningless. Unless a fight comes along that has some special meaning, I won't be looking forward to see Hughes get hurt like that again.

I'll make it quick, I worked at 7 this morning and I've been all over since then.
-WAR Diaz. -Happy for Hunt. -Hughes didn't look bad or get killed, he looked pretty good but wound up on the wrong end of the KO. Whatever he decides, I support him. -Rampage looked like sh*t. I'm not a Jones hater, but it's still hard to buy him because of the circumstances. I feel like he beat surgery Shogun and the worst, most non-offensive (albeit best defensive) Rampge I have ever seen fight. Sure, say it was Jones that made Rampage have no offense. I disagree. Rampage barely threw 30 punches I'm 4 rounds. He attempted nothing.
Also, if anyone wants to, find the thread of Gomi's signing. The day of, I predicted he would go 1-3 in the UFC.

Against the reach of Jones, Rampage needed to go all out here, just go wild, he needed to land some big shots, and to do that against Jones, he needed to put himself at risk, but otherwise, there was no hope for him, and he was too passive, and in the end, he didn't have a chance fighting like that. This was not the Rampage eho should have been in this fight

...Anderson would beat Jones. the best fighter in the world beating somebody else? theres a limb to go out on. if they can get jones in there with both rashad and machida in the next 12-15 months [and he destroys them like he did shogun and rampage], jones-silva is an absolute money fight.

Jones dominated Rampage, but seriously, Rampage hasn't been relevant in years. Jones is good, but I still think he needs to prove himself against a healthy Shogun before we label him as the real deal. He defeated a post-surgery Shogun. I think Jones will go through Rashard, but a healthy Shogun will be a whole nother story. If Jones can beat a healthy Shogun, then he will be the #1 guy in the LH division.
