Anyone who does tweet: download the Tweetdeck computer app. Really makes it easier.

I have both, but I prefer facebook. It annoys me that twitter has that cap on how much you can type and you can't send any private messages unless the other person is following you.

Exactly how I feel. I am not on Facebook anymore because it feels weird to me to be connected to so many people I used to know, yet haven't heard from in real life in years. I dont want all these people knowing my every move... and I dont want to know their every move. I use Twitter more as me posting my random thoughts, and to keep up with celebrities (a/k/a wrestlers, rappers, and comedians) and diego ;D Oh wait, its the other way around. I enjoy reading the juice mans tweets. haha thanks.

that noise. MetroTwit is much better (at least if you're on Windows). What do these apps do? They let you use Twitter from outside of the website, and do so with a more natural interface. They also let you see you all tweets/messages at the same time. Por ejemplo: MetroTwit

Here's a screen cap of Tweetdeck (I've hidden my messages, searches etc). It's so much easier than web based Twitter. You can see your mentions, messages as well as make a column for searches too. And as you can see: you're alerted as the tweets come in: you can minimize it & do other stuff.

Twitter. Less frou frou.. I don't see why my friends need to have 1300 pictures of themselves.

Twitter. Less frou frou.. I don't see why my friends need to have 1300 pictures of themselves. I was thinking about that the other day. I've maxed out at about 150 pics and it fluctuates, I'll get more, I'll lose some. I just don't care about "maintaining the image." If anyone wants to see pictures I have, I guess they could just ask me and I would show them.

Twitter. Facebook is for people with no lives. What an ignorant statement. I can understand having a preference, but the two are one in the same. They are both social networking, one just allows more than the other.

The amount of "the thing I like is great and the thing I don't like so much is a piece of crap" that's going on in this thread is hilarious.
It's OK to not like things. That doesn't make the thing you don't like bad, believe it or not; nor does it reflect on the people that use them.
Facebook and Twitter function similarly, with the difference being scope. Facebook makes it really easy and fun to stay in touch with your family and friends. Twitter makes it really easy and fun to keep tabs on the rest of the world. The only people I actively talk to on Twitter aren't famous. However, I would have never encountered them on Facebook because I did not know them already.
Due to Facebook requiring someone to accept friend request (as opposed to the more passive following for Twitter), it hinders your ability to meet new people.
