Yeah, Javier Vazquez said he was very close to weight, but was still over by a few pounds and the doctors wouldn't let him dehydrate more.

Dana White just posted a video on twitter saying that not only is Nate out of the fight, he is also out of the UFC. It appears that Dana has fired Nate on the spot.

Wow, Nates pulled from the fight. I wonder what the exact reason was. MMAweekly is saying he didn't pass the physical. Wonder why(dehydration & not being able to make weight, or another medical condition).

That article was wrong, this is Brenneman's second opponent. He was Riddle's replacement.
Not that big of an issue, just pointing it out. Sucks for Marquardt though.

I wonder why Dana hastily got rid of him. Lets say he couldn't cut to 170. He'd have to be like 177 or something(i.e badly missing weight) for Dana to get rid of him like that, or maybe he got busted trying to submit a fake urine sample or something. Who knows, man. It just can't be something like not passing a physical for Dana to get rid of somebody within an hour of pulling him out of the fight

I heard that he was yapping this whole time about the cut being easy, but he showed up at 181lbs today.

This whole thing is just... weird. To turn up 11 pounds OVER the weight? WTF? And then the instant firing. Hmmm....

I'm thinking it has to do with the weight and trying to with the drug tests. He's pissed dirty before.

But they don't do pre-fight drug tests there, do they? They can test pre-fight, post fight, a couple weeks before they fight, really anything they wish.

Dana released him. Heard it may have to do with not disclosing hep c.

Dana released him. Heard it may have to do with not disclosing hep c. I'm not sure he'd be THAT insensitive to put another fighter's health at risk. But yeah, a lot of things are getting thrown around. Hopefully this gets cleared up sooner than later.

It will get cleared up, but Vazquez said he was 181lbs at 3:30pm ET, half before weigh ins.
