Several international sources have informed us that there might be an opening in the UK television market for World famous youtube up and comers, LCW Wrestling. We are to believe that UK television tyrants Granada feel with the decline in Saturday night entertainment (mostly due to Simon Cowell relocating the X-factor to America) Granada are interested in going back to their roots and having Wrestling based programming. ITV executives Granada built their programming in the 80’s around ITV’s World Of Wrestling. Showcasing the very best of the British Wrestling scene. Including now world famous former Wrestling champion Fit Finlay. Interns at Granada were tasked with surfing youtube for potential money makers, and LCW was one of the few that were positively received across the board. ITV are slotted to make an announcement on the subject shortly. It is unknown at this time whether or not LCW owners have commented ---------------------------------------- ringratsrus.tumblr.com/post/6790565036/lcw-wrestling-coming-to-a-tv-near-you

I can remember the last time ITV showed a Wrestling themed show...
Aslong as ITV doesn't touch the product then I hope it does well.

Sounds interesting but I would put money on that after a month at most ITV would move it to ITV 2 or 3 at some stupid time slot.

ITV will probably ruin it by making them do some kind of prize so they can earn money from phone calls like with just about every other show of there's..

A) Shining Wizard B) Luminous Witch C) Glow In The Dark Goblin Just £3 per minute* * Calls may last 15 minutes.

Awesome news if it does happen. My dad was just talking to me about the wrestling he used to watch on ITV when he was a kid the other day as well.

As popular as wrestling is over here, I doubt it would achieve too many viewers
And also, keep in mind that most (well, ALL UK promotions) UK wrestling promotions don't have the best production quality...they'd be on ITV, which uses a HELL of a lot of production values...
EDIT: World famous LCW? There's several different LCW promotions on YouTube...some of them are backyard...out of every promotion I watched, only one is British. The others are American.

Never going to happen.
By being on ITV it would have to stand up to be compared with obvious competition which is clearly WWE & TNA both available in the UK.
No way some tiny UK Indie group can compete with the bigger shows presentation, star power or talent level & they aren't going to be financed by ITV.
Do people not remember just how terrible the small UK wrestling groups looked on TWC?

They'll need, decent cameras (preferably HD), decent venue (possibly TV studio), good size crowd. Most UK promotions have none of these.
In theory, ITV could fund the first two and if it's in a TV studio get some extras to fill up the rest of the crowd. But would it be worth it for ITV to fund such a niche product?
ALso, they'd need to contract the talent. This may sound stupid, but if the show did get fairly big, and WWE/TNA came knocking it could ruin the show losing top talent.

Not going to happen. Although, when i first saw it I thought I read LDN wrestling which got me thinking they could probably do a decent show on ITV4. Wrestling would fit in perfectly with all the other man programes they got. And LDN are pretty decent. I'm saw they'd get a decent enough audience to keep it running.
