Drunk driving is one of the most disgusting and selfish acts a person can commit.
Thank God he didn't hit another car.

lots of people are like them over the internet, but in real life if someone they knew died of drunken driving then they'd be mourning too (like you said) and would get angry with people who said stuff like "he had a death wish" to them. Let me break it down a few ways for you... - If one of my parents selfishly decided to get shitfaced and drive their car 130 MPH, I would think they are a complete idiot, and I would tell them that if they somehow survived.
- If they did die, I would be like, "I wonder why he/she wanted to kill him/herself..." not, "Oh my god, what a tragic ACCIDENT!"
- Why is it a death wish? Because rational-thinking people do not drive like that.
- I would still be sad because it's my mother/father, not some idiot I've never met from a television show. Comparing the two shows how truly lost from reality some people are. Wow.

God forbid. you're not going to change people's views. there really is nothing to discuss, the way people react to his is completely all down to personal feelings, its not like arguing which wwe figure is better.

I saw the trailer to that film last year. Loinsgate were going to release in October but they have postponed it now.

I for one, know what he did was an idiotic thing to do, but it is still sad, so I am going to mourn the guys death. I'm not going to let a stupid thing he did change my way on him, he was one of my favorites from CKY/Jackass.

I really don't understand how someone can try to make a dollar off of this. People have no sense of decency anymore.

It's still sad that he died. That's the point. Yes, I'm glad he didn't take anyone else with him (not counting the passenger who was stupid enough to get in the car). Doesn't mean we can't have a thread remembering him. Yeah, we get it. Drink driving is terrible. Ryan Dunn is dead because of it, his own stupid act took his life. You don't have to shove that point down everyones throats.

You're more than welcome to have a thread remembering him, but I should also be able to say, "He wanted to die."
Evidence > Blind opinion

Cam, you just can't let it go, who made you the bearer of the Dunn torch? Let Kliquid have his opinion without jumping down his throat for it, this is what happened in the last thread and it got locked. I completely agree with Kliquid, it seems like because people are fans of his, they overlook the stupidity of the whole thing and automatically jump to "zomg TRAGIC" like a member of their immediate family just passed away.

I get where Kliquid is coming from but this point about him having a 'death wish' is very, very strange to me. I'd say it's pretty obvious he had no wish to die. I think it was just carelessness and getting carried away with costly results.

No, no, I don't think any of us can say he had a wish to die at all, none of us knew him personally to know what went on in his mind. I just agree as far as the whole, making this in to some huge tragedy aspect, as I don't see it that way, and it's obvious a lot of other guys on the board feel that way too.

It was someone being an idiot and he ended up paying the ultimate price. That's all there is to it, it's sad, yeah.. but it's not a tragedy, it's foolishness in the worst possible way. I don't think that means he had a death wish. If he had a deathwish that implies to me he was going out to intentionally crash and kill himself. It doesn't seem like that's what happened.

drunk driving is stupid. it happens. you make that mistake and you get punished. Ryan Dunn was punished. as was his friend for making the choice to go with. its still ridiculously sad.

No, I'm not saying that at all, it's totally fine for you to have your opinion, but it's like as soon as anybody comes in here with a negative thing to say, you jump and pull the "let's just remember him" card, kind of blindly, if we're going to remember him, then we have to remember he died in a stupid way, by his own hand.
