I've heard bad stories about the guy so this doesn't surprise me, but I'm not a person that expects every famous person to be nice and care about fans. Never stopped me from liking CM Punk. The thing here that excites me is you live across from Mattel HQ and get discounts. Need a roommate by any chance? Actually I work across the street from them.

I'd give Riley the benefit of the doubt. I had heard Orton was unfriendly, yet when I met him at a signing he was totally cool and really down to earth.

It's a shame when guys you aspire end up being jerks. I've had my share, being an intern with TNA for 2+ years I've changed my opinions of guys, both good and bad. But I've met some wrestlers in the airport, like Ted Dibiase Jr. and Batista. Batista = jerk, Ted = Great guy. I've met others at comic book conventions and stuff too.
Real shame when they end up being nothing like you had hoped.

Yeah Shiek is known to not be friendly. Very unfortunate. I've met several guys at the Comic Cons over the years. Now being at TNA I see them in a whole new light. Granted I'm not going to say who I like/dislike, but my visions of some of them growing up has definitely changed. Both good and bad.
You'd just think they'd appreciate all of us who helped support them over the years. Some are very grateful while others are completely wired the opposite. Their egos can get so huge and it's a shame. Just disappoints me when I hear someone is nothing you wished they were.

I hate the illusion shattering of someone you thought would be cool wasn't.
I got to interview John Cena last year as he was making the press rounds for "Legendary" and met a number of guys - Mark Henry, one of the Usos, David Otunga, Heath Slater and even got pictures with Golddust and R-Truth. They were all very cool, but Cena is one of the nicest celebrities I've met. He was very down to Earth and a really nice guy so I'm an even bigger fan of his than I was previously.
The only one I encountered who was kind of a tool was Wade Barrett, so I was happy to see Ezekiel squash him (ha-ha).

Wow that's awesome! I'm not a Cena fan, but I'm happy to hear that he's very friendly. To me that's the most important thing. Giving back and acknowledging those who have supported you and helped you get where you are today.
It hurts more when childhood heroes of yours wind up being jerks. That really gets to ya and you feel like why did you waste your time liking them to begin with.

Especially for those guys at the forefront of the company like he and Orton. I heard Edge was a really nice guy too.

I met him this year hear in Los Angeles for Wrestlereunion 5. He was walking down on the lobby and taking pictures with everyone. Super cool guy never said NO to anyone. This was the weekend of Royal Rumble 2011.

Again this wasnt meant to bash on Alex Riley. Like I said he looked very busy and maybe really didn't have time to talk to me since it was in the middle of a photo shoot outside Mattel headquarters. I think alot of you are taking this the wrong way, and honestly I don't wan't to make alex look like a bad guy. Maybe if I would have waited a little longer after the shoot he would have had time for the fans in the area. Business first

I understand. We are just talking I believe in general about how disappointing it can be when they're not who you thought they were all along. Not trying to put anyone in bad light. That's not how I read yours at least.
