Has anyone who's into the Switch games played Nexomon? It's a game like Pokemon, monster catching etc, but it's hella fun. I've been playing it a lot recently.

I'm the complete opposite. No shinies in like 2 weeks, at least. Haven't hatched the new one from 12k yet either.

I still haven't finished Legends Arceus and I'm now starting over for the 4th time. I have never had this problem finishing a Pokemon game, I get into it then convince myself I'm bored then go play Gold for the 3465th time.

Bought my nephew a copy of Legends Arceus for his birthday. At this rate, he'll finish it before I do! I'm still stuck trying to get a damn water stone so I can get a Vaporeon then I'll move on to the next area. Test of patience this!

Don’t know if shiny chances are up for this event, or if I’m just making up for going a month without one, but I have caught 3 shinies today. Lickitung this morning leaving work, then just within the last hour sitting at home an Oddish and Grimer.

Got a Shiny Paras in Legends Arceus, just randomly whilst on the way to the Lilligant trial. I had to do a double take since it was far away when it sparkled and I ran about for a minute through Combees looking for my Shiny. Parasect is a cool shiny though!

I finished Legends Arceus! Just the legendary missions and Spiritomb for me to have a complete Pokedex so I can get my Shiny charm!
Should be fun trying to get every Pokemon to a 10 level in the dex and finishing the requests too.

I would like to see Legends Arceus released with the apparently "original" Pokemon formula.

I would like to see Legends Arceus released with the apparently "original" Pokemon formula. Legends Arceus gave us a brand new style of Pokemon game, different from that "formula" but such a nice change. I'm gonna say this but I stand by it, BDSP sucked. It was nice for fans of the original but it did absolutely nothing for me, it was just Gen 4 with no difference on the Switch, which I guess was it's point. The fact that Scarlett & Violet are taking a bit of the Legends Arceus formula shows that they're moving in a different direction. I'm all for that. Sword and Shield were amazing but in my opinion, I though Let's Go looked a better game graphics wise. I had more fun with Legends than BDSP for sure, I hope the new games will be the best yet. Nothing has beaten Black and White or Sun/Moon or USUM for me yet though.

Okay I’ll bite. Having not played Arceus, what exactly are the formulaic differences therein?

Okay I’ll bite. Having not played Arceus, what exactly are the formulaic differences therein? Well, a traditional game for Pokemon would stick to the Gym Badge formula. The only game we've had in the entire main line series that steered away from that was Sun and Moon with the Island Trials rather than Gym Badges. For the most part though it wasn't a big change as we still had the story of evil team, Elite 4 etc. Arceus being open world let you play at a pace that you weren't going from event to event in the story. Yes it was there, but with the Pokedex being more tasked based after catching the Pokemon, you weren't really just sticking to the team of 6 for the whole game as it was making you use just about every mon in the game to fill out and complete the tasks. We had the trials of each of the Lords Pokemon, but it wasn't as simple as just battle and beat them and it felt more like a challenge in Zelda for example. I guess that did somewhat stick to the story of a Pokemon game but I wouldn't compare it. With no Elite 4, badges etc. it really felt like a completely new take on a Pokemon game, so I guess that's what I mean.

I've watched about 20 walkthroughs, I still cannot find the last 3 ING Wisps I need to get Spiritomb and I'm honestly thinking my game doesn't have them. I've spent 3 nights looking for them!
