Ok guys, now that Harmonix has their Dance Central 2 release out of the way (well tomorrow) do you think it is now time to start talking about Rock Band 4? It has really sucked to not have a game release for over a year now gh or rb! So i will start up the discussion... what features would you like to see in a RB4? Honestly, I don't even see RB4 being something that's guaranteed to happen. Plus, even if it was, it's way too soon. Look at the gap between RB2 and RB3.

Sure there was a gap, but Lego:RB/Beatles filled that gap. So far they have had nothing to keep the title in the faces of consumers at the stores.

I really think releasing a full Rock Band game would be a terrible idea. I think the market needs time to settle down due to what Activision did to it with the constant stream of GH games. What I do think HMX should do is release a gigantic pack of songs as DLC around the time where RB4 would be released

Yeah, the market for music games has died way down. There just isn't consumer interest enough to warrant RB4. I agree that they need to wait a while before releasing an entire new title.
I still like Rock Band, but nobody ever wants to play anymore. Rock Band nights used to be a big thing and people were fighting to play. Now I can barely get 3 people interested in playing. Guitar Hero over staturated the market, and they need to lay low for a while.
I'm just surprised/happy that there is still DLC being released.

Getting the rights to songs wouldn't cost anymore than they would to put them in an actual game (at least I don't believe they would), and they wouldn't have to worry about the cost of parts for everything either.

And they didn't do RB3 in 2009 ONLY because they wanted 100% of their focus on The Beatles RB. See how amazing that turned out. That was the true way a band-centric game was supposed to be. Once they finished with TB:RB, they started on RB3. Sure they had Green Day RB in between there, and even that was better than any GH band game.

Honestly, the biggest thing they could do for me, would be to let us import Beatles RB into RB3. I know it is unlikely, but it would be nice.

That's 45 songs, just on disc, and more if you count the remainder of songs from the 3 albums we got. Easily 70 songs.$30-$40 is reasonable since it's not a new game, but we'd be getting the vocal harmonies, pro drums and whatnot. The Beatles weren't overly flashy on the guitar to warrant many, if any at all, pro guitar/bass upgrades so those wouldn't be an issue.

I just can't bring myself to agree with you that Green Day RB was better than any GH band game since GH Metallica was simply put phenomonal. It's quite easily my favorite rhythm game ever.

I am a big Mainstream radio rock guy, so this weeks selection is awesome! "Until the End" Breaking Benjamin "Breath" Breaking Benjamin "Sooner or Later" Breaking Benjamin "Forever" Papa Roach
I was really looking for "Polyamorous" or the Acoustic version of "Diary of Jane" since it would be killer on Keys.
And you can never go wrong with some Papa Roach! These guys really need a bigger pack of their songs!
