So with Blitz coming next week, I wonder what DLC will be announced. I wouldn't expect them to skip just because of a game release. They never did before....

It's hard to say whether they skip an announcement or not since all the songs on Blitz are technically DLC for August 28th... I hope they announce something though.

Well with the releases of RB2, 3, and Lego RB they had DLC. Sure you had to buy the export of those games but there was still separate DLC. ...oh and Blitz doesn't hit until the 29th for Xbox. Sooooo......

I don't think they will skip that week's DLC, but I also don't think we'll get anything to huge either.

Mouth, meet foot. Now eat.
Perpetual you were right. They are using Blitz as DLC this week. Even though the 360 doesn't get it until Wednesday. The Wii players will get the songs from Queen, Barenaked Ladies, and Foo Fighters as 3 singles since they don't get Blitz.

Kinda happy that Blitz is the DLC announcement since I was getting really sick of the 3 song weeks and we technically get a giant track pack next week... I just wish I didn't have to download the game. I really just want a couple songs from Blitz for RB3.

I'll take just about any songs at a discount, so 25 tracks for $15 is an excellent week for me.
What do you all think the chances are for another complete album as DLC in 2012? Would it have to be something huge, like Appetite for Destruction, in order for it to be approved?
Also, wasn't Electric Ladyland supposed to be released as a full album?

I just downloaded Blitz. My wait was LOOOOOOONG since it has to scan for all your DLC. And then you download the Blitz soundtrack, which is a 766.43 MB file. At this point, I am 63% done.

They gave some as studio versions off the album, the others came as live versions from the various Hendrix live discs.

Blitz is fun as s*it! I played for like 10 hours on Wednesday. Already have 18 of 32 achievements.
That said, DLC for 9/4. No special release game this week and we get more than 3 songs! Linkin Park 4 pack!

I would've considered buying the LP pack if it was more Meteora and Hybrid Theory and less their later garbage releases

My least favorite will probably be Burn It Down but even that's not a terrible song. Breaking The Habit, and New Divide are amazing, and Shadow Of The Day is my favorite off Minutes To Midnight so this'll be a good pack IMO. The first LP pack was the sh*t though.
Onto Blitz talk. I'm already at 25 of 32 achievements. And close to the one for playing 50 songs from one genre. After that, I am gonna work on 10 by one artist and 50 from one decade.

Correction from yesterday. Only had 24 achievements on Blitz, but now I have 26 after adding Genre Die-Hard and Loyal Fan. Only ones left are playing 150 and 300 unique songs and 5 and Gold Starring the 25 songs included with Blitz.

Blitz is pretty fun. I never played any of Harmonix's non-instrument music games (Frequency, Amplitude, RB: Unplugged) so I wasn't sure how I'd like it.
After a couple songs to get used to the controls, I'm having a blast - even using power-ups sparingly. I'm not much of a "grind for the top score!" guy, which kind of goes against the whole point of the game; but I'm having a lot of fun just playing a bunch of songs and amassing coins for when I DO want to use some power-ups and try for a spot on the leaderboards.

Be careful to remain on Live when playing Blitz. I got kicked during Highway Star and got no Blitz Cred or Coins for the song.

29 achievements down, 3 to go. Half of the time consuming run is done, I just got the one for playing 150 unique songs. That leaves playing 300 unique songs, and then the 5 Star and Gold Star the Blitz tracks.
