Defiantly what a promo should be like. Let these guys speak their minds and from the heart not off some script. This was no doubt a shoot as he spoke of being ok with Cena on a personal level but hating how the WWE portrays him as the best. He goes on to insult Mcmahon with relatives, The Rock and Hogan along with Cena which seemed way out of context considering the fued. The mic cut him off right before he was going to expose Mchmahon. This was no work not in this day in age with WWEs not so creative team.

WWE just re-tweeted the following from Todd Grisham,
"Punk came unhinged tonight. Never seen anything like it in my 8 years."
At least they're acknowledging it. Granted, it's from Grisham, so it's in a completely controlled environment.

Punk should totally show up in some form on Raw next week wearing a ROH shirt. I still can't get over how unreal that promo was. Edgiest thing done since the attitude era.

That was one of the greatest promos I've ever seen. The best stuff is usually the stuff that has some truth built into it.
RAW was awesome tonight, from the matches, the storylines, the promo's....best on in a while.

Probably being posted, but: WWE retweeted this from WWEmagazine: The mood backstage is...edgy, to put it mildly. Sam is in a meeting with a lot of the people he just called out...

Just rewatched it and noticed he added emphasis on the word 'wrestler' when he said "I am the best wrestler in the world." Thought it was kinda funny that he also mentioned that issue. But what a promo, I'm pretty sure its a work though. Very interesting on how things will pan out, well done WWE, well done.

WWE is retweeting a bunch of craprelating to it from they're own accounts, so it's looking like worked, and good'un.

Wowww, I don't really watch anymore but tuned in tonight cause I heard it was Raw Roulette and that's usually fun, and I'm def glad I did. I wasn't fully paying attention the entire show and pretty much had it playing in the background while I was on my laptop, but that promo definitely made me turn my head. Amazing stuff.
Last promo I remember leaving my jaw dropped was Heyman's at ECW ONS.

Who the hell cares if it's worked or not. It's interesting, exciting and tense. Enjoy and embrace it instead of trying to play detective to discover an irrelevant fact and enjoy the fact Raw ended on such a unique note instead of John Cena destroying R-Truth and celebrating his huge, necessary victory... I know. It's not like it matters if it wasn't a work. It's not like that would result in Punk being fired and the main event of Money in the Bank being changed or anything. Get over yourself dude. It's a wrestling forum and people are going to want to find out exactly what happened because, well, they are wrestling fans.

I have never witness anything like that in the WWE. In my 20 years of being a fan. I am in absolutel shock & confusion. I really don't know at this point if it was a shoot or not. EVERYTHING in my gut tells me it was the beginning of the greatest storyline in wrestling history...
but then again, when has the WWE cared enough about ANY storyline to make it THAT major? Punk said soooo many "4th wall" comments...things that no one in history has done. It just seems so random and out of nowhere to be a work.
On the other hand...why would they let him keep going. They already showed the RAW graphic...why not just cut him off sooner? I don't know what is going to happen here, but either way, Punk just did one of the greatest things I have EVER seen in wrestling.

something that really stood out to me as odd in the whole shoot/work or what it was but punk claim himself as being the best or good on the "mic" i have been watching wrestling for years and i cannot for the life of me ever hearing of a wrestler openly on raw refering to themself as "good on the mic" i mean i always felt like it was kinda of grey area where wrestlers were justing talking naturally (as far as storyline goes) and the mic was just a means of deliverance, i never heard someone say they were "good on the mic"
not saying if it was real or not but that real stuck out to me

WWE made it pretty obvious that it was a work by not immediately taking the mic away from him and ruined the allure of the promo. Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of it but the moment didn't feel right to me.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon suspends CM PunkJune 27, 2011 Tags: Raw: June 27, 2011, CM Punk Monday Night Raw’s abrupt conclusion last night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:
“CM Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”
With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2011-06-27/mcmahon-suspends-punk
