Steve Austin: Sam just melted my 52 inch TV with a scorching hot promo...delivery, content, and attitude...one of the best promos I've ever seen. Yup.

bit of food for thought; anyone remember those dirtsheet articles about WWE willing to bend over backwards in order for punk to re-sign? perhaps this is linked. perhaps punk came up with this idea himself - a way of working the IWC smarks by feigning retirement, at the same being given the OK to do a promo such as this. I don't know. I just don't understand why suddenly, because he's 'leaving', he's getting the spotlight. that doesn't sound like good business at all. possibly, this is the WWE 'bending over backwards' for him and giving him a program that he himself has created. i'm probably way off, but it kinda adds up. I won't spoil, but me, Raw seems so poop next week lol. great, here we go. thanks for that... so unneccessary.

Who the hell cares if it's worked or not. It's interesting, exciting and tense. Enjoy and embrace it instead of trying to play detective to discover an irrelevant fact and enjoy the fact Raw ended on such a unique note instead of John Cena destroying R-Truth and celebrating his huge, necessary victory... I know. It's not like it matters if it wasn't a work. It's not like that would result in Punk being fired and the main event of Money in the Bank being changed or anything. Get over yourself dude. It's a wrestling forum and people are going to want to find out exactly what happened because, well, they are wrestling fans. No, he's right, this is fun and interesting. I don't see why people have to get all uppity about this. People did the same exact thing during the Daniel Bryan thing and it pissed me off. This is fun, interesting and exciting, don't ruin it by taking it so seriously and starting arguments.

Wonder what he was going to say after the mic went off. He was talking saying something about the Bully campaign.

I don't know if anyone caught this, but in this video: Start at 10:47, you'll see the ref hold up his earpiece, and go over to Cena in the ring while Punk is saying BEST WRESTLER IN THE WORLD Don't know what it means Look at Cena's face at 12:11, it looks like he knows that something is up. He has a look of "This is getting serious..." on his face.

I swear to god if we see more ridiculous Team Work or Team Shoot banners for this promo I'm going to go insane. Anyways, I wish the WWE would cover this up a little better. It's the leading story on their website. They should erase Punk from everything, like Beniot. Oh God, there's always gotta be at least one wet blanket. I swear to god if we see more ridiculous Team Work or Team Shoot banners for this promo I'm going to go insane. Of course we will, there's no originality on this site. LOL didn't know we had to have originality here.

The entire fad of the banners revolving around threads, including most of the recent threadheads is quite ridiculous. Team Shoot or Work banners included. Just my opinion, brah.

I watched this with my girlfriend, and couldn't help but just go insane. My god, she picked a great night to watch wrestling for the first time.

Entire promo on my iTunes, and my iPod. Win. Yeah, because god forbid it gets lost! Hahahaha. I haven't marked out like this 2 days in a row since I got my first Metallica CD. First as you know the Barry/Kongo finish last night and now this. Punk's been my guy since Joe/Punk 2 and he "went off" so to speak and said everything I've been thinking for years. I loved the promo so I put it on my iTunes. Maybe Kongo/Barry next. To the guy who asked how, I'm not sure I can go into details but there are ways....

What I'm trying to say is, instead of interesting television regarding something quite big that's shocked the wrestling world... it's back to the old, stale formula of the past weeks. They should be putting differences aside and be milking what has happened like a ing cow. That way, next week, people will tune in. I really could've done without that much info though.

The real question is is why was he wearing a stone cold shirt? I was wondering the same thing, I think it's because him and Stone Cold share the same opinions.
