I keep my Elites MOC so I will just end up trying to get 4 legends that I don't already have because I open those but only keep the cardboard backing so I will be ok will cutting the corners off those.

How much of the package do they need? Usually they only need the UPC label.

It's funny that the shipping/handling/process fee for a boxed regular sized wrestling ring was $3 (Kmart Breakdown Ring promotion, I got 10). And a basic Vinnie is $5.

Today I picked up Elite Miz, Ryder and Kofi today. Piece of cake finding em. Arizona doesnt have crazy scalpers who raid WWE action figures I guess. I was prolly the only person who had gone to the display. Was not enough interest to get enough figures for the Vince.

I guess the answer, for me at least, is NO! I was there on 7/3 and order form is locked and loaded.
They did the sale/resale thing for me, but I picked up a few legends, a DM, and a couple of Elites on 7/3 as I don't want to take any chances.
Sorry if I annoyed anyone by saying the figure was Jakks -like. Just looks alot like my RA Vince, and I don't recall seeing any plastic suits on Mattel figures yet, but now I think we should get used to it.
BTW...I have a ton of Jakks and it is not meant as an insult.

I'm just going to wait until eBay has them, so that I can see how the box condition is and bypass all the headache & confusion that goes along with this promotion.

I just got back from TRU. I debated, I debated, then when I went back today on lunch, I just said it. I ended up grabbing MVP, Ryder and Miz, and then just went ahead and got Martel so I could go ahead and get Vince. I'm not a big fan of Vince the character but I think the figure is cool, and as a business person, I love this type of marketing gimmick. The last time I did something like this was with Star Wars like 15 years ago when they did the Storm Trooper Han Solo and then the Spirit Obi Wan. Since that time I have grabbed things like this, like the rocket firing Boba Fett, off of ebay, at a great price might I add. This was fun though because it made me feel like I was tearing UPCs off Fruit Loops boxes again, even if I did spend an absurd amount of money to get it. Listen, I spent almost $70 today to get the Vince so if you don't want it or have doubts that you want it then don't get it. Especially, if you are a MOC collector because then you lose the integrity of the figures you collect in the process of getting the mail away. I display and collect loose so I got 3 figures I was going to get anyway and then decided to just go ahead and grab the Martel, which is still a great figure but just not something I had originally intended on getting. It's only worth it on a person-by-person basis imo so as a collector I don't think anyone should feel like they HAVE to get the Vince. I wanted one, so I did it.

I remember taking part in that promotion as a young lad- good times!

The only mailaway figure that Ive gotten has been the george lucas storm trooper from 5 years ago. I made the mistake of opening it. I just cant leave figures moc, but I should have left that one moc.

The cost really isn't too high because it is free. It is a bummer for those who collect MOC. But, MOST people do not... Most people are kids and whatnot who tear open the package. I guess I feel for ya, but at the same time, we're paying for the production of the figures we're buying. We are not paying for the production of the Vince figure. So, I am sorry that you do not like the promotion, but you can't slam on Mattel for it. They can't just take your word for it that you bought the figures, and the receipt isn't enough proof.
