If she is a LaVey (the father of the 'religion' - and I use that term loosely) Satanist, she does not believe in either God or Satan. The name "Satanist," if I had to guess, was essentially used to freak people out. Obviously, that has worked tremendously well in this case. Hahaha. But in essence, Satanists are basically atheists who enjoy making a mockery out of Christianity because they consider it to be essentially the downfall of man. They tend to believe strongly in social Darwinism and other forms of self-preservation. The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth- Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
- Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
- When in another’s home, show them respect or else do not go there.
- If a guest in your home annoys you, treat them cruelly and without mercy.
- Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
- Do not take that which does not belong to you, unless it is a burden to the other person and they cry out to be relieved.
- Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
- Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
- Do not harm young children.
- Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
- When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop. If they do not stop, destroy them.
Honestly, there are some things that are pretty good about Satanism, if you ask me... But then there are other things that are just absurd. You beat me too it. Anyway, I wouldn't worry man. I got really deep into researching this stuff for a while, and really it's not that bad of a religion. With the exception of self indulgence, it's really not that different from just normal life. I'm sure there was a reason for the 6. If it WAS indeed to be "evil", then I call bullChocolate Shark on this, and think she was doing it for shock value, or just to see if you'd stick around. Also, yes, I was curious as to why it took 10 minutes to get the book

Matthew 7:3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"
the plank being that you belong to a wrestling figure forum, I kid, but if you knew this girl well why would this particular thing affect you so much she was obviously a cool girl and still is being a satanist doesn't change it, at least she's not some really boring christian who spends all their time judging.

"First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye." Always been one of my favorite bible verses (this coming from a professed agnostic).

Bro I agree with what you did. It would be one thing if you were in middle school or high school and you were with a girl who was going through some kind of awkward phase. I looked at your profile just to see how old you were and at 20 years old, I agree, that you don't need to be dealing with the drama of a girl who thinks she's a satanist.
I hope you find somebody normal.

Also the titled should be updated to *Now with pictures!*

I think it's safe to say the majority of Christians themselves DON'T believe we should be killing homosexuals and keeping slaves. Just because it's in their Bible doesn't mean they have to follow it. Then how can you say Christianity as a whole is "pretty" evil. You listed two reasons and that's it. I don't agree with those but still. Is the U.S Army evil for two massacres they may have committed in let's say Vietnam? It's not all evil, I guess I should have been more careful with my words. To deny there are evil things within the Bible is just odd though, in my opinion. Not sure what your point is with the army/massacre thing.

I know what he said about making her believe in God is a bit much, but to call religion "irrationality" seems pretty close-minded. Is it really, though? How is religion rational? It's asking you to believe in things that cannot be proven, to take them on faith. Now, I can't speak for Kliquid, but I don't necessarily believe irrationality is a bad thing. However, it seems incorrect to say that religion isn't irrational. I think that, when it comes to religion/atheism, we're asking questions that are beyond human comprehension/ability to answer. Rationality goes out the window, as no group has a fitting or sufficient answer to the question and never will have one.

There is a group out there working to prove/disprove it (it being religion.) It's called science and scientists are proving Evolution > Creationism, among other things, that's not to say religion shouldn't be around, but to say no group has answers is wrong. It just might not be the answer you want to hear.

I haven't really read this whole thread because it's way too many pages.
BUT, here's my contribution.....
If you're 20, and she's close to the same age, she's nothing but a stupid child, going through a stupid phase, and will probably be over it when the next cool fad comes along, probably from some book series/ movie series.
Don't sweat it dude!
